$30

- You **** !!!!!! I just spent more than that for 3 Williams wrenches !
The first Flea Market was a bust this morning, so I traveled to another one that I don't like to go to ($1 entrance fee and full of chinese knockoffs). At the outdoor tables I only came up with a C-clamp. I normally don't go inside because it's a claustrophobic fire hazard deathtrap filled with cheap imports for the non-english speaking population. Today I didn't have a choice. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my deck rail and need a 1 5/16" box end wrench or combo to secure the railing posts.

] I've spent the last two days trying to track down this wrench. I have the size above and the size below, but not 1 5/16" and an adjustable wrench is too big to fit in the space I need to put the nuts. I've searched 5 auto parts stores, 4 hardware stores, 2 box stores, 2 Sears stores, and Harbor Freight. As well as making calls outside my area to find stock. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! Sears is the only one that stocks that size on the shelf, and all the stores in my area have empty pegs.
Thanks Sears for pretending to still be the go to place to shop

So, I sucked it up and went inside today. There is a used tool dealer waaaaaay in the back that sells his tools for top dollar (IMO), so I usually won't go near him. I went to his stall this morning on the off chance that he might have a cheap chinese wrench in the size I need, just to get the job done. He did.

Not only that, but I found the size I needed in a Williams as well, along with 2 other large sizes to match. So I dumped the cheap junk. Now for the hard part ............ asking his price. He wanted $60 for 3 wrenches and the broken breaker bar. I've never seen this guy go down on his prices, He'll throw you out first. I offered $50, and amazingly he said YES.
As a cheap *** *******, it's more than I would normally pay, but I need to get the deck rebuilt before my nephew's 1st b-day next weekend. So I sucked it up and spent my gas money.
So, for $53 total, I ended up with :
Williams USA Superrench #1176 1 7/16" combo wrench
Williams USA Superrench #1176A 1 3/8" combo wrench
Williams USA Superrench #1174 1 5/16" combo wrench (yea !)
Williams (Diamond W) B-30 90° breaker bar (w/ broken detent spring and ground end)
3" Stearns C-clamp ($3)
