Those folding metal sawhorses are nice. Easy to store and they take up about as much room as a chunk of 2X4.

All: I picked up this fan a while back from a retiring contractor and I'm planning on plugging it in tomorrow. I didn't post it when it was 30 degrees when i bought it for $40, but it's about 4 foot tall and i bet it will move a little air around.

brand name is Maxx and hopefully their might be a few online for those of you that have the 80+% humidity and hot weather. i'll let you know if i made a good buy after the next couple days.

That fan looks great, I'll be looking for one this winter for sure. Right now, only thing I can find for $40 is a giant kerosene jet engine style heater. It's only 73 degrees right now(11pm) but the humidity is 93%...

Cool finds 3Bay, what does the other side of that refrigeration ratchet look like?

Rmalkow, middle of the week auction was good to you  I gotta wait til the weekend for our auction. :(

I have had some luck at the local Habitat Re-store lately. I am still working through the technical sied of my cell phone camera but will post photos when I sort it out. Yesterday I snagged a craftsman carry box for $5, a Lincoln grease gun for $2 and an older carry box in hammered grey for $2. I couldn't find a brand but it is solid and after a good clean should be a great road box.

From Sunday.

A bunch of manly S-K sockets with a smattering of Wright, Proto and Indestro for 25 cents a piece.

lager sockets werr 50 cents a piece including a 1-1/8" =V= C'man.

#33 pro 3M electricians tape and staples for a buck each.

Large Indestro USA DBE for a $1.

More tool pickers than usual these days it seems. None I talk to actually know how to use tools though. I guess ebay has them falsly lured in as if they are selling gold as always.

Ugh.

It was an online industrial auction but a local company selling tools etc. so picking up will be easy. These auctions are good sources for those big shop fans cheap. I got one that way and 3 sold yesterday in my local auction for less than $50 each.

Liked my JH Williams C-clamps that I ordered another vintage one in amazing condition off eBay. These will easily last my lifetime.

That's a nice fan. Great price. I have a MaxxAir 42" that I found about three years ago. Home Depot was selling them at the time for $300.

I'm from the Binghamton area but I've participated as a vendor at both Springville and Super Flea . Not many markets crazier than Super Flea , and I've sold at a lot of them .

The rumors about the demise of Super Flea were swirling for years , I took for granted it would never happen .

I figured if You bought those items yesterday You may have been at Springville .

Ahh, I just assumed you were from the WNY southern tier. Can't believe you're from there and did the Super Flea! I already vented weeks ago but I was having fun there for over 25 years so hard to see it go. Have to find bargains elsewhere now.

Lots of good mid-week finds guys

Got an early start to the weekend, stopped at the ReStore on the way home from work and picked up a 9 drawer Art Metal Company document filing cabinet for $20. Always looking for more storage so I’m pretty jazzed. Some of the drawers were a little rough but after an hour of repair/service they all move like butter. The drawers are 9.25w x 27.5l x 3d with the triple ball-bearing slides, now I've got to start loading them up!

Hit another regular stop after the ReStore and picked up a handful of items: Mastercraft and Snap-on socket boxes, wrenches by Barcolo, Indestro, Craftsman and Blackhawk, a Craftsman strap wrench made in England, Wilton 804 c-clamp and a package of 1200 grit wet/dry sand paper. The Mastercraft box had most of a ½” drive Penens socket set in it; 15” flex breaker, 4” extension and 9 sockets, 7/16”-1”, (the ½ is a Thorsen and it’s missing the 9/16”), and a ½” drive Snap-on SV-71A ratchet. The ratchet was frozen but I got it open and cleaned out almost all of the dried grease that was holding it fast. It’s soaking to get the remnants and I anticipate it will work fine. All this for $7.

Nice finds Itinerant, I like that type of file cab for heavy/long tool storage, and like Nine, will buy them whenever I can reasonable. (I have 2 so far, got to get #2 in play...)

Here's one I'm going to look at tomorrow, pro-run estate sale though so I'm betting they are asking a lot for it.

This one looks kind of interesting too but I don't think it's metal, same sale. :dunno:

Definitely didn't mention a score, just going to look and in fact, I intentionally talked down on it in hopes I would be wrong. I truly believe it will be overpriced though and I am prepared to walk if it's more than $30-40... I'm a tightwad :D
