Thanks guys! I was very surprised by the shape and the amount of circle H tools!!

Outlaws- I want a vise like the craftsman as it would match the logo on my toolboxes!

I realized i never posted this morning's estate sale.

I bought this Echo GT-225 for $12, I only had to add gas to it when I came home and it fired up! Going to see if the FIL wants it as he needed a weedeater.

Then some Bose speakers, copper fittings, kabobs sticks, bread pan, plastic bin to use for cleaning, deck of star trek playing cards, and screw holder. $10
img_2610.jpg

Then this singer sewing machine lid that looked cool and thought it might sell ok, if not I'll convert it to a nice box .

Too many fairs going on so pretty much no garage sales. All I got today was some NOS light bulbs, a metal ruler and 2 big plastic flower pots that will be used to grow hot peppers next year.

Sorry but I didn't even bother taking pics.

Just a quick trip to the FM this morning. Not much there but I still managed to spend $5.

Simonds 8" sq. file
unmarked 5" c-clamp
SnapOn SSD1 stubby screwdriver

A pair of Estate Sales on monday (in opposite directions). We'll see how it goes.

Went to a few sales while running errands yesterday. Passed on a few good things in efforts to save $ and space and was too late on a few other good things. :( $35 total. Rusty parker 32 was an astonishing $1. Don't mind the air hose, I had to test out the pneumatics.

it's been a mediocre couple of weeks tool wise, found a few things:

the first was a sale I went to on my lunch a couple weeks back, advertised tools, but by the time I got there most of the stuff had been sold, but the guy said he still had a bunch of stuff out back and I was welcome to take a look, so walked out there and here were 3 Wards Master Quality 4 Drawer Storage cabinets, with nuts/bolts/cotter pins, I carried out front and asked how much...he said 3 dollars a piece. so of course they came home with me

The second was from last weekend, I found a 1/4" stahlwille ratchet with a wooden handle, and some snap on sockets, ended up paying 13.00 for both. gotta admit after using the ratchet, I really like how it feels.

later that day I stopped at a sale on the way home, and they were cleaning out the garage, I managed to grab this huot drill box with some drills, I ended up getting for 5 bucks, so I had to take that home as well

and then on Friday, I managed to pick up this stubby 3/8 snap on ratchet for 11.00. so I figured that needed to find its way home with me as well.

ZK, GREAT score on the Parker;:thumbup::thumbup:

Hopefully the inside of the power piston is in better shape than the outside and is recoverable!

I got out for a little bit this AM, and found some small stuff:

A made in West) Germany "Trout" knife, - $10; a Flex spigot, .26c; a really oddly shaped Chipping-forming hammer, and a Wusthof (Germany I think) carving knife. Those two, and the switches below for $6.

Eight DPST toggle switches the is one more besides the 7 panel mounted behind that key which activates/deactivates it.

And a couple of bucks for a solar power, LED lit, Cracked glass globe; about 3" in Dia. This one will land in the party lights.

Some shots of it lit up:

Figured I would throw up my finds from this weekend. Bought the "BE" ratchets on a whim because they looked cool and the 75 year old gentleman said he did not run across them at all to much. Now to clean up the ratchets and see how decent they look without all the grease and dirt.

The adjust a box is actually useful except it likes to loosen up after a few dozen turns.

Paid $27 for the lot, guy would not budge on the ratchets price but they look so cool I caved. $10 each for the ratchets, $5 for the adjust a box and $2 for the hammer driver

Nice finds on the Craftsman ratchets!

Best use for the "adjust a wrench" is as a punch/Chisel holder

Managed to get to an auction this weekend and picked up a couple of things. Picture 1 is 46lb no-name anvil I got at the scrap yard $15.18 dollars. Picture 2 is a stainless steel cart the wife bought for me at a yard sale for $3.00 dollars. Picture 3 I paid $ 11.00 dollars at the auction for four Bonney wenches (1-7/16, (2) 1-1/4, 15/16) and three Fairmont wrenches. All in excellent condition. At the same auction, I got two Williams and a Hargrove C-clamp plus a Craftsman USA hammer for $2.00 dollars.

What with commitments this week/weekend only had 2 planned stops mapped out which ended up being busts.

So I made a point of hitting some random targets when out doing my traveling. Did much better at the more or less random targets.

Snap-on 3/8 ratchet, Diamond bent nose pliers, Rigid 6" pipe wrench $5

IMG_0585_zpsae2059da.jpg

Starrett, Brown&Sharpe & Lufkin micrometers $10

IMG_0588_zps35b6caa7.jpg

TRW wrenches, and a cool Greenfield Tap & Die drill index in the shape of a screw thread. $12

That drill holder is slick!!

Thanks Jeff,

I have so much regular stuff now that I make a point of being on the look-out for unique stuff like the drill holder. I don't think it has a date on it but it certainly comes from a time when they put some "art" into the simplest products.

Give us the story on the barn find, and what is that toolbox in the top corner ?

Well I am putting barn tin on an old corn crib for my grandma, and while taking the windows out I found that box and today when I was Messing around I saw it and dragged it out and asked her about it... I got the " Where did you get that from?!" and she told me to take them home.. And the toolbox is a Wards Master Quality I have one Wards wrench and the rest are misc. brands I have mostly never heard of. I'm pretty happy with these as I am pretty sure My grandpa bought them from his dad (My great grandpa) at the estate auction after he passed. I wanna clean these up and keep them in the family.

Rallo - Heritage tools, nice !

I found 2 sales for Labor Day, in opposite directions :willy_nil. Both advertised tools, but neither had much of anything. :(

The firsts sale yielded a brand new Sno-Brüm and a SnapOn BH91 plastic tip body hammer for 50¢ each.

For those who don't deal with snow, a Sno-Brüm is used to push snow off your car. Mine is usually buried under the snow inside my truck. (it kinda defeats the purpose when you can't get to it) I'll keep this one where it's accessible.

The second sale had nothing for me. As I was driving up I saw someone else putting a 12' extention ladder in a 1951 dodge p/u (a really nice restoration in green w/black fenders ). I asked if they had another ladder, and was told that that was the only one, but behind the barn he had half of one he was going to junk. He gave it to me for FREE (we like free) just to get rid of it. :rocker:

My only find the weekend. An 18 inch Diamond adjustable for $5.00 that I have no need for but I liked it. It is marked USAAF which should date it between 1942 and 1947.

$30 worth of tools in a large 6517 box , mostly Craftsman, a few random S-K, Snap On, Williams, etc. Nearly full 30# R22, $10. Really nice Lyon folding chair, 50 cents. This is what was left after the guy who got there 30 min before me was done loading his truck..
