Rick - The clamp is a Stearns. I've picked up and restored a few of them.
For some reason, the logo often ends up mashed. It may have been a bad mold, but I see a lot of them like that.
The picture is of clamps I've picked up a YS's and FM's and restored. There are Stearn, Hargrave, Cincinatti Tool, and a few others. All with the winged screw.
Never can have too many clamps.Never can have too many clamps.

No more bent or twisted yokes either !![]()
I picked up a bent 4" Wilton a while ago. I didn't notice until after I cleaned it and lubed it and was putting it on the rack. I think that one is going to take some heat to get it back into proper form.
BJ42, Is it a std weight clamp or one of the extra heavy or bridge clamps? a std 4" clamp can be straightened cold easily. The one I did sat was 5" and still did it cold.
Rick, Nice end of the year score!
Mud, phone wire punch downs. Used in the central junction areas I'm sure, but also in larger company installations. I've got a board in my garage since I went a bit crazy wiring my hose about 18-19 years ago.
Thank you! Not sure it is something I will ever use.

of course id be happy if nine starts the 2015 thread.....
but if i recall didnt the 1st post of the year go to the 1st score of the year?
i dont want to steal anyones thunder, but i may have a score lined up for tomorrow night or early morning jan 1st
the race is on nine
dammit! i didnt say what it was, but just mentioning it means i just jinxed myself![]()
Beat - At the end of 2013, it was decided that the person that had the best haul in 2013 should start the 2014 thread. By consensus (of those still following the thread at that time) the honor was given to Outlaw. The tradition was revived for the 2015 thread (by a few insomniacs who posted) and Nine (in absentia) was elected to start the new thread on New Year's Eve.
So this year I "nominated" Nine...

Actually I think suggested it should be among the top 5 or 10 for post count, and voted on. I didn't realize it would be a draft! So this year I "nominated" Nine...

I don't think the same guy should serve two years running, so don't get any ideas...

Went to look at a filing cabinet today, guy had a bunch of tools he was looking to sell. Walked away with this stuff for $63. The Macsimizer set is missing the big Philips, but the tips on the drivers are all in very good shape, and the orange snap on screwdriver trips itself into neutral, I have to look into that, maybe just old grease? The ratchets are 1/4 in. snap on and Napa. Not a killer deal, but I'm happy with it.

Which, he better start at 12:01! No pressure Nine, no pressure![]()

So, got a text from a random phone number this morning:
"do you buy old socket sets? I have a whole toolbox full"
Sure do! Send me some pics! Few hours go buy, I get two blurry photos of a bunch of sockets, what appears to be a SK rat, and big pipe wrenches... I ask what brands are in there:
"S-K Wayne Made in USA"
They accept my offer for $30 and I shoot down after work...
Was barely any SK Wayne's, but uh, I'll take it

Basically better photos of the ones I got... Now, whats in it...
![]()
SK and Proto Rats's, two large pipe wrenches, Proto Speeder, =V= Breaker, =V= and Giller extensions...

A whole Kraeuter DBE offset wrench set, some Barcalo, Giller breaker...

Well, there were a few S-K Wayne's, but twice as many Snap-On's, mainly universal 3/8" sockets! A whole bunch of older Husky and P&C, almost an entire =V= set with holder, two Bonney's, some more Giller, a few Fleet... I'm liking these random text messages
Oh! and a New Britain ratcheting adapter too!
