Thanks Drives and Nine!

If you are on windows, just open the photo in photo viewer and hit the rotate button on the bottom, in the direction you need to rotate it. Additionally, almost all phones have a edit function where you can crop, rotate and save right on the phone.

Topop, make sure when you take the pic, the button is on the right.

Here's today's finds but first I'm sorry for your loss Jake. Glad to see you found some items you never knew about.
Now on to my finds, I had answered an ad on CL about welding tools. It was a older lady and her daughters trying to sell off the late husbands tools from when he had a welding shop. There where quite a few nice pieces and lots of steel but this is what I came home with for a total of $265.

First a Jet,new in box, sander with some new sanding discs for $25, next was this Milwaukee Mag-drill which I don't know if it works yet, missing the chucks, for $200, then came the little craftsman lathe for $25, no pic yet, and finally a Rock Island no. 587 vise with 6" jaws for $20.

Overall a good day for a 2 hour round trip to Portsmouth,NH.

Where to begin?!? Oh yeah - YOU ****!

So I took NJMarty's advice and headed over to an estate sale about 30 minutes away from me. Basically a tool extravaganza. I can't begin to imagine the cool stuff they must have had the day before. Here is my main score for the day. I didn't get a chance to take pics of the other stuff, But I'll do that tomorrow.
Craftsman wall mounted tool cabinet with the all the tools in it, $75 total. Most of the tools in it are Craftsman, it should be fun filling it up with the correct tools. I think it may have still been there due to it being kind of hidden behind another door that was open, either way, I'm glad I was able to get it.

Pics of it as found with the tools in it, and empty once I got it home.

My jaw just dropped. I thought NJmarty sucked (he still does) but you **** even more for finding a cabinet I never thought I'd see!!

Grats!

That's awesome, what's really nice about that one IMHO, is that the sticker label is still on the back of each compartment to help indicate what all goes in each section.

Think I'm spoiled, been doing really well at the flea markets and garage sales this year, today was quality over quantity, and that's usually a good thing Especially when I only spent $75

Not much open here in Maine anymore. Thanksgiving weekend kills everything but the ski resorts and snowmobile clubs. Nice to see the rest of the world still does things.

Dngr: can you post more pictures of that cool old Craftsman cabinet in the metal cabinet thread. looks almost new and guessing about 50 years old. nice!!

Matt: Pines was mentioning Atlantic City is pretty tough place to be these days. true? sorry you got hit, but sounds like she stopped. i got a nice dent while at an auction a few months ago and not a note or anybody in site. nice finds

Dave: if you want to save the Plvmb stuff for me maybe we can make a few trades and meet in person one day when i'm down your way? I'll PM you with my email for pictures and prices if you can't use them.

you have a great eye

Drives,
You mention a Metal Cabinet thread? Do you have the specific link? I searched but did not find the right one.

Finally, what man doesn't need a 1947 Manley floor jack for his garage?! It doesn't pump up, but I got it for $30. Hopefully, it just needs a little fluid.

I believe that this Manley jack is a bit of a rare find... Might be an LJ-1.5 :dunno:

Certainly deserves an additional post in the Vintage Jack or Show Off Your Jack threads.

Once you step out of the casino or hotel it gets seedy fast. Just steps from each casino is a lot of poverty. They are trying to revive it and several years ago built an outlet mall on the two blocks between the boardwalk and the convention center. They just opened up a Bass Pro Shop there too.

Impressive stuff this weekend. I just have a "what are these?" for the team from the bottom of the toolbox I got a few weekends ago.

Someone else had a tool on here with that makers mark and we figured out it was a mossberg. Could it be the wrench for a chain saw to tighten the bar.

Anyone know what the hammer on the left is? Here's a close up and I don't recognize the logo. Under the numeral 1.

Thanks for the ad references, CRTDI. I'll post some additional shots over on one of those threads, too.

Good news! The jack does pump up...about three inches...and then holds firm. Hopefully, that means it just needs some more hydraulic fluid added. Fingers crossed...

Sunday 75% off estate sale + add'l 25% off total (last hour of four day sale) and I bought the 17 pieces below for $6.75. Includes Dunlap (long nippers?)vintage Dasco chisels (my favorites) and several "TAMPCP SAF-T" chisels which I've never heard of.

I own at least 10 Dunlap tools and had not seen the "Approved Tools AM"
text before. Anyone know what AM means?
