That's the most Blackhawk I have seen in one place, great condition too!! Cool that you guys get to go hunting together!
I went to one local monthly auction Friday night and came home with these two pieces for my personal pleasure and collection.
First is the Arkansas Tooth Pick, a Western W-49 Bowie knife. Not their oldest made but a good example that I can restore and enjoy.
Second was this vintage 1950's era Stromberg Carlson MD-30C microphone with stand. Another nice classic piece to go in my music room area.

Some real nice pick up's this weekend gents!
Is this the busiest January on record for this thread? Seems like it to me...

Yeah, the guy kept bringing out boxes and the stuff just kept getting better. Disappointed I only filled two empty spots on my 1/2" drive Proto board though!
Twertsy: how about starting a thread in the vintage section showing off your board and it's current status? also put in your remarks what you need to fill it up. then post along the way what other tools you have to trade and who knows that awesome board might just fill up.
sounds like fun going to a guy's tool sale with Beat and buying a few old tools. guessing a beer or two might have been involved at your's or Beat's garage while checking out each other's finds or did you split ways after the sale?
cheers

Twertsy: we all started somewhere. i don't have the board just like so many others so you are already able to fill yours and we are still looking for one.
cheers
Is the ratchet, 3/4 or 1"; and Plvmb or Proto?![]()

Gotcha. I'm actually going to make some display boards, similar to the bit board, for my old SK, other Proto, Plomb, Bonney, Williams and Wright I have.
That's a monster Squash!!![]()
RM, Nice finds, esp the Bowie! but it's not really an Ark Toothpick, those are double edged, over-sized, almost a stilletto:

Pretty much; at least for everybody but me...![]()
Well, I don't think I stole anything, but here's the haul:

3rd photo, Tons of Bonney Wrenches, some sockets
4th photo, a bunch of SK sockets and wrenches.
5th photo, some Plomb stuff

I know you didn't state a price but if you paid under $50, you stole that lot! Well done!
So I picked up some stuff a few weeks back off a guy on CL. He had a couple tool boxes listed with no description. Anyway pretty much as soon as I left I was upset with my self. There was more there and I wanted to get it. I hit him up a few days ago to see if he still had any of it, lucky for me no one else had been around yet. So i went back and grabbed the following

Sorry about the rotated ones, cant seem to get them right
Nine- they look like craftsman raised panel saltus wrenches.
There's a whole lot of win in there Drake, what brand are the socket wrenches?
Dang Drake! Nice haul! You and Jimi will have to come by next time you're in town! (ulterior motive: bring some Bonney / Proto, I'll supply refreshments!)

They are one of the few things not made in America. Cant remember the brand at the moment but do remember that they are made in Taiwan. I don't have any yet so I grabbed them to add to my box until I get a good set.

....well I said I'll give you $20 for it since I'd have to get a chuck....and he said he couldn't take that so I offered $25 (split the difference
....he just laughed and said "damn"
