Great finds, guys!
Outlaw, that Klein tool is what we call a can wrench. The larger side is used to open pedestals, the smaller side is used on binding posts inside the network interface.

Some good scores folks!!

I woke up to snow on the road at 5:40 this morning and said nope.

Plus if I got stuck around town while my wife is due in 5 days with our child, I'm sure she would have killed me! LOL

Nah, she will wait till she's in the labor room for about 6-8 hours and THEN she will try/want to!

Mine literally grabbed me by my shirt, and screamed "This is all your fault!" during one of the labor contractions. She doesn't remember it at all... (to be fair she was in extreme pain from back labor as our son was face down, not face up during the delivery. Not good...)

Not a great deal. Got this Snap-On impact universal joint adapter for $6. It is a pinless design. Seem like SO use pinless before Matco, but then switch to pin design.

There are a few links here that should help you learn to post. Just copy the following into Google. I think your daughter is probably your best source. LOL

how to post pictures site:garagejournal.com

Thank you very much. I will try this and see if this old dog can learn a new trick.

XXTool: do you have pictures saved to your laptop of desktop computer? if so you can just attach pictures using the paperclip above where we write our posts. sort of like attaching pictures to emails. if you are on your cell phone then i hear using Tapatalk works great, but I use the paperclip method.

any more questions just ask.

ALL: For all the crappy weather in the south, north and east you guys are still finding great stuff. it's setting record high temps up here this last week, but furniture seems to be main items for sale.

I"m ORGANIZING so hard to post my finds until i get a bench open to lay them out. i'll post a few of my finds when i can. here's a cool ruler i found and used to measure a cabinet for my new steel welding table that i hadn't seen before. anybody else own one of the metal 3 foot rulers?
I have a iphone and take pictures with it. I just dont know how to post them from my phone. I will look in to this Taptalk you suggested. Thank you

I went to pick up a drill press vise and saw a sale on the way. $3 for whatever fits in the box.

I guess I got my money's worth.

Then the vise. Cute little sucker i can't read the name but don't really care. (Too much.)

Was able to get first in line at an estate sale near my house yesterday.Nothing super great . Got a good amount of vintage sockets and accessories ,2 plastic pistol cases, the protractor/centerfinder heads. Wasn't a steal but the sockets are all Snap On ,SK,Proto,Plomb,Cornwell,MAC,etc.
The logo on the SK box was a new one for me and found a cute little Blackhawk 1/4" ratcheting adapter.
I hope to get the SK box cleaned up and possibly figure out what would have been in it originally and try to fill it up.
Anybody ever had success running a box like this through the dishwasher?Seems like it would degrease and clean well. Too harsh? too much force?Any thoughts?

Wow, it sure seems to be an SK weekend!

Alinc, I think the box would be fine in the dishwasher, but remove it right after the last rinse cycle, adn get it in the hot sun (if you have any...) or a warm oven to dry it quickly. then hit the hinge with WD-40. (if drying in the sun you can do that right away...)

I've got an old Maytag dishwasher I use for cleaning garage parts...

How is it that no one else has commented on the vacuum gauge reading of this post yet? It sounds like Dave found the elusive and magical "spotted unicorn that poops gold coins" garage sale that I have been seeking for a long time.:3gears::thumbup:

Lots o' Suckage this weekend, especially considering the time of year, but your right about Dave, esp for that arbor press...

After looking at Ebay SOLD prices they are bringing $40 to $50 with the case. Yours looks decent and might bring a bit more. Local sale $30 to $40 if I was doing the selling.

Rick. I will have to check when I get back to the shop tomorrow. It is USA but a brand I never heard of. I really just threw it in because there was still room in the box.

Got this today from CL, $75.00

It's a Canedy-Otto drill press, not too bad of shape.

It took all I could do to get it out of the truck, once loaded, here at the barn.

It's going to need some care.

Took a road trip out to Amish country today for a guy who hit me up on CL about buying a lot of old wood planes... judging by the pics he sent me, and what I left with, I have a lot less work to do... Thought most of these were going to be real rough, when in reality, most are ready to use!

All, I believe, are from the 1800's. A mix of American and Scottish made. The 3 Stanley's are the roughest.

Thanks guys. What you can do with a big old arbor press that you can't do with a generic 2T hydraulic press? Just curious??

Things like U joints are a lot faster once you get setup.

Other things require a more deft touch that you get with the arbor, that you cannot with a hydro press.

Then there are things like hole punches that you can do with the press instead of beating them with a hammer.

Klein tool :dunno:

a Buck knife (Tip missing  ) with odd sheath (No belt loops? :wtf:

yup can wrench, indispensable for a phone man.
the sheath wears parallel to your belt, the knife tip tucked under the last
rivet so it opens when you pull it out.

So I went by what I call a "tool honey hole" here on Saturday. I love going there because the guys running the place will cut me deals and they don't value the tool truck/industrial brands over other crappy brands. I will post some pics as soon as I get them but I did get 3 RHFT ratchets one 3/8ths drive and two 1/2 drive, some proto and challenger tools for $30. Also met up and bought a sweet proto tool box off the c list for $25. I have been wanting one of these for a while now and finally got one. Only way it could be better was if it was plvmb. Pics to come...

Saw a CL ad for this baby and snapped it up. A Hitachi SB-75 belt sander with 8 Norton belts for $25. Bought it from a policeman who was selling it for his dad. A little tape on the cord but otherwise a great 2 spd belt sander at a super price.:p

This is my #1 tool for my vice restorations. The bag is important because i can attach my shop vac to where the bag belongs to minimize the metal filings.:rocker:

Picked up a nice Dayton 3/4 HP bench grinder on CL. Didn't know it before hand, but it came with two stands. The black stand weighs at least 90 lbs. I mounted my big Chas Parker Model 804 1/2 to it over the weekend.

That's some nice finds...that Dayton looks like it has a lot of life left in it.

A very nice lady sold this to me for a steal $30, but she held it all week till I could come get it, not in my local area. Gave her $40. She also gave me a box of NOS Craftsman grinder wheel, wire wheel, buffing wheel, buffing compounds. All made in USA too.

To answer an earlier question. There are 2 ratchets in the pictures I posted. First is a broken "Wizard" 3/8 USA made which also had some grinding done to it. Pity as it has a nice fine action otherwise.

Second comes the "Walden" Worcester 1/4 drive. This too has had a bit of a hard life but works fine after cleaning with brake cleaner and a drop of oil.
As of just now I don't know anything about either of them.
