You are correct, i didn't realize it did both. I would love to have a couple more of them for my patio, and shop.

It's so dark here i can barely see..... good thing i score four 2pk 60w led bulbs at Lowes for $3.98 a pack today... I'll be doing my best to keep in the light.... 60w of light emitting diodes at a time lol.

Nick

Are those LED's on sale or was it some sort of clearance? that's a good deal!

Good stuff at that sale. I got a few items there yesterday and went back today as well. Maybe just before you as I did not see the guy you mention. I still have to sort mine out and take pictures from todays purchases.

Looks like tools from the New Hudson sale. I was first in there on opening day... spent a ton of money but managed to get a lot of great tools. They posted the location 3 hours before the sale and I was waiting for it in the area. Guys prices were pretty high but I managed to sort out the good deals.

The lowes in marietta ohio had a huge end cap with the 40w and 60w 2pks for 3.98. I'm not sure if its on sale at all locations... but believe so

Craftsman 6517 carpenter's tool box. 30". Rusty, no major dings, although someone put 2 screws thru the lid to hold a piece of wood inside
This was exactly what I had been looking for as a portable tool box.

Also, a Wright 3428 rubber grip 3/8 flex head rat. It's older, only 41 teeth, but the mechanism is very smooth. Also, the flex joint is surprisingly snug, with no detents like the newer model. $15 for both.

Nice box and hauntingly familiar . . . no screws nor wood on this one.

4 planned stops today. The first one was a lie, the second one was the dregs of previous sales. They still had a few good things, but most of it I didn't want or was trash. I skipped the last two sales because they were too far a drive and I was already discouraged, so I went to a flea market instead. No luck there, so I just went home.

Here's what I found at the second sale (I just missed out on a small SnapOn pick set that would have made my day.)

$5
an organizer full of shrink tubing
a mostly full container of Porter Cable #0 wood biscuits
a plastic John Deere cutting blade height gauge
and a SnapOn screwdriver (my first YELL-ow SO) no model number imprint

Another freebie from the dump, I mean, Sanitary Transfer Station:

Savory 105 galvanized can. It smells like it was used for paint thinner.

I don't think it's safe for gasoline, but used motor oil? Kerosene? Not sure yet.

20150905_130356_zpsfpbcrzui.jpg

Any ideas?

Sometimes it amazes me what people throw away. Others would pay good money for that at auction especially with the really intact label. If it has no leaks then yes it could be used for storage of various products. I also know of someone who cleans them out and adds hardware and wiring to turn these into cool lamps for the man cave.
Great find!

Hit a couple of places yesterday. First was a house with many sheds and stuff everywhere. Aged dad had died and son and daughter were organizing and sorting all the stuff. Said they had been basically earning most of their income by selling stuff for the past four years! Kinda figured it would be completely picked over...

My finds: a set of mikes, calipers and a baby Wilton bullet vise (my first Wilton piece) all for $40. There is more there, but I was limited in the time I could spend searching.

On my way out of the are saw an "estate sale" sing and it turned out to be a couple of women with a shop in an industrial park selling estate stuff. Found a Huot machinists chest marked $65, but they took $50 for it.

Spent $105 on about 300lbs of metal.

5" Wilton swivel Chicago. A little corner on the jaw tower is cracked, but it's fixable and not affecting anything. Weighs 55 lbs
It was mounted on this stand which is 190lbs or so and 36" high.
Then talking to the seller he had another vise.
A Parker 204 4" swivel. Weighs 60lbs.

$40 for everything. The wilton has the jaws welded on. I almost didn't buy it, but decided to pop my wilton cherry in hopes of it attracting more to my garage.

Proto chisel, Utica wire snips, craftsman crown logo hack saw, snap on 1 in wrench, Malcolm tin snips, and a solid old flat blade screw driver.

Garage sales are starting to wind down, but there were still quite a few nice ones in my area. I got this pile at one sale (minus the shoes)

Spicer and Raybestos wall cabinets. The guy was a contractor and never Installed them, the shelves, keys and hardware is NIB. I got them for a friend's new 30x38' garage I am helping build, $60 for the pair.

I'm drooling over those cabinets. That is a you **** deal for nib cabinets like that. All I find around me are old rusty ones that I will have to restore.

Almost forgot these. I stopped at an ES on the way to work Thursday and in addition to a flower pot (not pictured) I found these in the display case next to check out. The feeler gages were a buck. The knives were priced $3, $6 and $8 for the NRA knife.

Killed it today at just one garage sale. Found an old H.L. Judd rod parter/shear. Last one of these I found I sold for 200 bucks. Assorted Snap on specialty wrenches. 1" drive Williams 2 3/4" socket and a MAC 2 1/2" socket 3/4 drive. A few Blue Point thin profile front end alignment wrenches and some thin Bonney crows feet. A really neat old Snap on valve adjusting tool. A Plomb Los Angeles wheel knocker #4420 and a huge Plomb Los Angeles 3/4 drive 2 1/2" socket. Some other assorted wrenches and stuff. 40 bucks for everything.

A mixed set of SK, Mac, and Snap on 3/8 deep well sockets (3/8-13/16), 13mm and 10mm snap on shallow sockets and a 6" snap on extension. 1 each Bonney, SK, and Proto 3/8 drive ratchets. 70% of my purchase is soaking in liquid wrench at the moment... Haha. Or else I'd post a picture. All for $65. 85 if you count i had to buy myself and my scrounging buddy lunch at the flea market (some impressive cheese steak subs!)
