Thanks WWShop, that means a lot and now that I have my daughter back in my life, just wait til you see what we get in to this year, she's a real artist!

Here is the other table I picked up today, along with 4 vises(one is still attached rear left). I've been using a laminated lab table top for years, these real butcher block table will be awesome! I also picked up these cool Williams Tool Rolls from Merc, the guy is cool but he's killing me with the kindness and gift giving all the time, makes me feel awkward like one day he will ask me to whack someone, or off someone, or whack off someone for him and I'm going to have to do it... :scared: :lol_hitti

I stopped at my favorite pawn shop on the way home from work, Friday and spent about 30 mins digging through the box of wrenches and box of ratchets.

I was delighted to find 11 DBE wrenches, 4 ratchets, an extension, and a flex head wrench. Total paid - $40

- SK 9/16" flex head wrench (which was the only one missing from my set)
- 1/2" drive Craftsman RHFT
- 1/2" drive Easco RHFT
- 1/2" drive Craftsman female 'circle H' ratchet. Notice the 11-44 cast into it. Is that a date code?
- 3/8" pear head Proto ratchet
- 1/2" drive, 5" Craftsman 'BE' extension

DBE wrenches:
Craftsman long =vv= 5/8 x 3/4
Craftsman short -v- 5/8 x 3/4
2x P&C wrenches
Hexo 7/8 x 13/16 & 11/16 x 5/8
Fairmount 11/16 x 19/32
Billings 3/4 x 5/8
Tiger Tools 3/4 x 25/32
Powerbuilt (Ward's?) 7/8 x 3/4
Barcalo Buffalo long 5/16 x 3/8 (6pt)

Here's some pictures of the Equipto work bench I picked up last week.

Also pictures of a Mercedes Benz tool ($10) and a Jack Daniels display jug ($32) I picked up at a high end estate sale last week. The tools in the kit were made in West Germany and are probably 80's or 90's and this should get me a few bucks on Ebay.

Ok I'll pull Joe out from the bus I just threw him under.
So when he called me I might have said he could **** himself if he provided a clear warning before he posted. We are both aware that any subsequent suckage must be negated. But this was just too good of a haul to worry about the rules. Great job Joe !
Since I can't bestow a YS, might I offer a raspberry ?

Pthhhhhhhht !

Nice sturdy bench.
If the bottom shelf unbolts, I'd be inclined to turn it around to open up that dead space underneath for more storage on the floor.

It unbolts but then the sides are not rectangular they are longer at the top than the bottom and the angles would be wrong plus then the lip on the back that keeps things from being pushed of the back of the shelf would be in the way if it was on the front. I may consider shortening the vertical front part of the shelf so I can get stuff underneath

Ahhh. I thought the back panel went down, not up. I just had a closer look at the picture and can see it now.

Nines, if you get overloaded with those tops, I can use one for a upcoming bench. I'll even help supply some "tools" for the possible whack.:lol_hitti

Anyone know anything about Martin Stoves? I got a Martin 30 Special today with a couple old books for $50, may try to put this in the shop for some heat this winter.
img_2416.jpg

And this will go in the vise thread, about 134# of Reed here, I should have used a well known object for size cause this thing is freaking HUGE! Merc scored it, I'll be cleaning it up and it'll be for sale soon after. Merc also scored MAJOR on another big heavy piece of old iron, I'll let him show his finds.

Yesterday's curb find. It's city sponsored clean-up time so all kinds of stuff is out for pick-up.I don't troll but had to stop when I saw this. I asked the depositor if he was really scrapping the snow blower on his curb (he was) and what was wrong with it (nothing). He was kind enough to push it back up by the house until I could pick it up today. It's an MTD 5/24, I haven't had a chance to fire it up yet.

A few yard sales in our area on 4/15/16, plus it was nice outside as well.

Pic 2--12 inch section of rail. I pick them up and recommend to beat on them instead of their bench vises.

Pic 3--A DeLaval wrench for their cream separator

Pic 4--Mind went blank on this one.

I really like the old hard hat!!! The first hard hats were ball caps dipped in oil and allowed to harden. The workers on the Hoover Dam started wearing them because of the trolley system over head used to pour the concrete was a constant threat to drop material on them. Funny Now you have to wear a hard hat just to walk on a job...
