3/4 on proto, 1/2 on the others. They had a bunch more 1/2 ratchets but you have to draw the line somewhere
Nice. My line is drawn as strongly as our current chief's.............I have no line

Jawohl mein herr.
Sollte er nicht gesagt warden?

That's just like one I repaired last year. Had to repair a drawer, the lifting mechanism and restore the finish on the top. Yours looks good to me.After Auction, I stopped at a local flea market, as was hoping that my offer on Monday for a treadle machine and attachments, had been accepted.

picked up a few goodies this past week...
Never saw a vise with the underline logo, so had to snag it. Heavy beast, 4 1/2" wide jaws that dont seem removable....
Please dont destroy that machine for the base, you can find bare bases at nearly any flea market or garage sale. I would epoxy the worn out hole to hold the handle spike in.

On Tues (4/19-16), went to an early tool only auction sale and picked up a few things.
Pic 1 and 2--Prentiss No. 19 vise with 3.5 inch jaws, swivel base and dynamic jaw.
Pic 3 was a surprise, as when I was cleaning up vise, a US Navy Emblem on back portion of dynamic jaw appeared. I'm guessing it was owner added, but if anyone else should know anything different, would like more information.
Pic 4 & 5 is a hand auger/borer and fairly large size as better seen in pic 5
Pic 6 is a wood/coal stoker iron
Pic 7 is a wooden handle shovel.

Possibly. But I have one that came from a shipwright. The traditional shipwright had them in several sizes.I believe your auger is a vintage barrel bung drill. Neat items. What did you pay for the vise?

I thought we were changing his name to joe.***** ?

Hey guys what do you think about this sale? It has a bunch of unopened tools including a craftsman 275 piece usa tool set. I might stand in line tomorrow since it is only 5 minutes from me.
