Hit some sales on Saturday and got skunked - prices were way too high for the only tools I really looked at. I even went to a Flea Market today and nothing tickled my fancy.
But I found a keeper doing some curbside shopping in my home town. I drove up on a Generac GP5500 Generator sitting at the curb - with no obvious missing parts or damage. I'm of course driving a Toyota Yaris sedan so it's not jumping into the trunk. I drove around the corner to home and trotted back with a handtruck and walked it back home. The folding handle is missing so I needed the handtruck to hold the front end while I walked it home.
Sent a pic to Mrs No_Garage showing her what followed me home and asking if I could keep it?
Got it home and noticed that the choke lever was missing and there is no throttle level. It had compression and once I set the choke it started up and ran. I plugged in a fan and it was making electricity. I plugged in a Kill-A-Watt and it's making 120.8 V and running at 60.1 Hertz. It's quieter than my Honda powered Master generator.
I'll download the owners manual and parts manual, see what's missing and give it a once over.
