More...The black box is a bell system tool box. Planes are 45's and a mint 50! pair of 40 & 40 1/2 scrub planes. also 4 bedrocks, Siegley's, Stanley Sw No. 8 and Made in England No. 7 . Lots of small treasures

Another thing some estate sales are doing is bagging wrenches together just based on whatever fits in the bag. You can have 25 wrenches in one bag and 25 in another and see that you'd have to buy both bags to complete a set. Mixed in those bags is all kinds of Gedore, Globemaster, and Pittsburgh stuff marked up above retail. Originally I had thought this was to stop people from breaking up sets, but them mixing up the sets themselves shows it's half to get more money for Indian/Sri Lankan tools and half to prevent theft.
It is annoying because the photos they put up show things before they've bundled them. I have learned what estate sale companies to avoid. Thankfully plenty of sellers still know that the hunt for things is the best part.
Met up today, got it all for 30 bucks. The wrenches look brand new but a few are missing. The snap on ratchet is a little sticky. The SK roto ratchet is dirty but otherwise great. The other SK ratchet is a little rusty but it works. The sockets are snap on in usable condition. Overall I'm happy
Anyway I can date these?

Topop, don't you dare tell us you got all that for pennies on the dollar or you are going to get the biggest "you ****" of a lifetime.
but I don't think he got hurt. Topop, don't you dare tell us you got all that for pennies on the dollar or you are going to get the biggest "you ****" of a lifetime.

Check his First post; He paid good coin for that haul. I hope he knows the specific values of the vintage woodworking tools better than I do,but I don't think he got hurt.
Incredible haul for sure
I think there was a receipt in the first post of like ~$1,400???
Is he just a serious tool collector or are there plans to re-sell some of that?
BMW, whats with the box of Plvmb/Proto early wood handle drivers? A past haul and I'm forgetting? (Day eight of the Flu... second day of almost no voice.)
Paid dearly... A bit over 1400...![]()
Nice find on that SO box! I need to find one that size, as I'm already outgrowing the shotgun cleaning kit/box I just setup for lantern work!
LOL I was thinking, what missing tool rest. Here some other pictures, including the craftsman grinder. Just missing one tool rest, and the cord needs to be replaced after I derust it all. Oh I ended up giving $24 for it all so not a bad deal I thought.
Edit I'm blind cause both tool rests are there!
Oh man thats a hefty sum. But I do have to say there are some gorgeous pieces there that if I saw for sale I would probably jump on it like a starving coyote on a steak.
