Yea we might be running into old employees stuff? There was a couple more but another person was interested so I gave up a couple. I figure I'll give away a few to buddies and keep a couple for me

Hells bells, I use to think those were rare. We've found enough of these lately, perhaps we can use them as currency in a poker game, or turn them into a new line of jewelry?!? I wonder how my wife would feel about P&C earrings ...

My wife dosent seem to share the same enthusiasm for vintage tools and such, so the earnings are a no go here. I was just excited to see the pile of them amongst a bunch of keys, I was kind of jealous when I saw your find, and was thinking to myself I need one of those. Weird how things work out sometimes. Hopefully it works out the same for me after reading OUTLAWS post.. I need one of those $5 Baby Bullets

One quick sale today,it was 1/2 off day and I had hoped a vise in the pics, might still be there but it wasn't found a few wrenches by Williams & Cornwell, scissors by Wiss, and a file card maked Bell Systems. Not pictured is a basket for the rotisserie on the grill.

LesserSon that looks like a beautiful day at the beach. A beach is among the very few places I wouldn't mind being on a nice day if not at a flea market, in order to keep my sanity.

Bluebolt a very cool piece of Sears you brought home there!

Thrift store find today. The two braces and egg beater are Stanley. The hammer is a True Temper Kelly Perfect. Then a USA made Stanley screwdriver and a sureform tool. $15 for the lot.

Not many interesting sales this weekend so just hit one family run estate sale not far from home. Ad said lots of tools but it looked mostly like the leftovers after stuff was divided up by family members. Ended up picking up some of the few quality items there.

Williams top box with some miscellaneous contents $25

Box contents, the best being the Williams set of swivel sockets and Craftsman ratchet.

Slim pickins around here lately, but I did manage to pick up the following Spintite set for $4 at an estate sale. I just wish the the previous owner hadn't drilled the hang holes in all of them, but for what I paid they're fine.

Some great finds this weekend guys! Ya'll are really on the ball!

dngr, I like that set of Spintites! Too bad about the holes but a complete set, that's awesome! I've been trying to put together a set, but they are few and far between and conditions varies.

Yesterday, I went to the same estate sale I went to on Thursday in the hopes of finding the missing cabinet door, lock bar, and keys to the P&C roller I bought. Sadly, my efforts didn't yield the parts I needed but I did continue picking through the garage and came home with some good stuff. What I can't understand is how I missed some of these things the first time around. It makes me wonder what else I missed that was scooped up between visits!

I cleaned most of these items up before taking pictures.

From right to left:

- Craftsman 40oz hammer
- unused hammer handle
- Blue Point 8oz hammer
- Blue Point 6oz hammer
- 2/32" nail set. Someone obviously thought they were being funny.
- Proto 3/8" drive 150 Inch pound torque wrench
- Proto chisel
- Starrett spring dividers
- Blue Point 10" tin snips
- Utica/Bell systems side cutters
- Plomb side cutters
- valve adjustment tool
- angled scissors
- Mayhew punch
- Champion "All weather lead-master" 7/8" line wrench
- S-K Diamond-logo 45170 3/8" drive ratchet
- Proto LA 1/4" flat blade screwdriver
- Airco torch/bottle wrench
- Bridgeport Whitworth 1/4" x 3/16" DOE wrench
- Unknown Nickel/Moly DOE wrench (Big 'X' in the middle)
- Cornwell cotter pin puller
- Proto cotter pin puller
- vintage wood handle cork screw
- Cornwell-Allied ratcheting DBE wrenches.
- Barcalo DBE
- (2x) Jorgenson 4" 'C' clamps
- 3 rings full of misc keys in an attempt to find one to fit my P&C roller
- Craftsman 1/4" drive socket box (I didn't know that until I started cleaning it)
- Estwing finish hammer
- Peterson vise grips
- Armstrong spanner wrench
- Blue Point feeler gauge set
- Misc files
- Misc sanding discs & arbors

(Not Pictured)
- 3 quarts Havoline 10w-30 motor oil
- Ward's Powr-Kraft ax.

Everything for $40.

A really nice haul, especially after so many days of folks picking over the pile.

No sales for me, as I had another full day with helpers working on my garage build.

OK I managed two more YS's today, but spent all the rest of it working on the trailer. or the Rig in prep for next week's hunting trip... (Springs on the trailer, welded one back bumper bracket (that bumper needs a "Not a Step" on it...), rotated tires fixed the backup lights, made up more canopy supports, lots more...)

The star of this load is probably the hatchet in pic two and three. Soon as I saw it I was like "why is that there on Day two (or more...)" in my brain. (But several other items fell into that catagory...) Got the top layer of rust off and its a Kelly!

Williams S52 & Proto ratchets, Williams and Armstrong small wrenches, DBE, 420 Channellocks, What appear to be NOS Wiss Ships, the adjustable is a Baker, and made in San Francisco!- Partly hidden; a GEM style nesting driver set, a Craftsman and a wood handle driver.

attachment.php

The Kelly, a clamp on vise, A Corbin Bronze lock, BlackHawk DBE, Westcott, "S" handle adjustable, Wood scale with both inches and MM, WD-40, NOS Barrel Bolt.

attachment.php

Close up of the Kelly markings:

Close up of the vise markings -anyone recognize?:

I nearly missed pics of this! A personal PG&E First aid kit (or maybe for a trucks glovebox...) This one is a close runner up to the Kelly... I'm going to stock this with "modern" stuff and keep it in my day pack(s)! It was $15 all...

Second YS: Proto and New Britain Sockets, SK, Cornwell and Thorsen Combos, the Thorsen is interesting as it has the "ratcheting" open end. I'd have thought Thorsen was gone by then... $5.

Scored all this last weekend at the Portland international race way swap meet! Some high light for me would be the all original proto body hammer #1428, the big plomb dbe 1161 and the large amount of p&c I found... Usually I find more plomb than p&c but not this year! Also scored plomb pliers and a large p&c pipe wrench... I did score a Bridgeport bell system flat tip screwdriver if someone wants to trade, I have no particular attachment to.

Well done there guys!

Snakebyt I think you stole that bunch for $5.

93 you too.

Ah, what the heck. How about everyone gets a You **** this week! A lot a good finds and cheap prices.

9 months down and 3 to go in the 2017 GS thread, and I must be getting my second wind or something. I was getting worried there for a while. way to keep me going guys.

Outlaw- I didn't recognize the vise logo, but the word possibly looking like Bridgeport tipped me off. It's a Brink & Cotton if you didn't find out yet.

Now the adjustable wrench is interesting, I have certainly never heard of Baker adjustables of San Francisco. I had to do some digging and looks like maybe Baker,Hamilton,& Pacific Co. brand. They seem to have been a hardware store Baker and Hamilton, with an old and interesting foundation.

Thanks 3bay, Shift spotted it as B&C in the Vise thread.

The wrench was new to me also and is as you described. I was just too tired and pressed for time last night to transcribe it all! :willy_nil
Thanks for the link!

So I saw a garage sale listed over the weekend that looked promising, but my daughter had something going on at her school so I missed it. The listing said "Father in law passed away and I need to clean out his property. Hand and power tools as well as fishing gear." Like I said, I missed it. Sunday night I saw a listing saying "Found more tools in garage sale this weekend again!". So I emailed him and he said I get off at 5:00 come on out and take a look. Drove out today, way out in the middle of nothing, and after passing about 20 signs warning about trespassing and cameras, made it to a gate. His wife came out and let me in. Quickly sent a message from my phone giving my wife my last known location and went through the gate. Saw him sitting by his garage waving me over. We BSed about his garage sale and said people were going crazy over his Dad's tools! He sold a toolbox that was "too big for him" and all kinds of hand and powers tools. UGH!!! "TOO BIG FOR HIM!!!" Anyway he said I found this stuff in the bottom of a little toolbox. He was keeping the little box. He brought out a couple Snapon socket sets. They were a little greasy and older, Se he said I could have them for $20. Sure I said, handing him $40 for the two, he said no $20 for both. As I was leaving he asked if I needed a ratchet? Ahhh Sure!! He handed me a Snapon ratchet and an extension and said they can go with the sockets!!

I only got to go to the fleas on Sunday this last weekend. I didn't make much of a haul. but I did find a few neat things. Started off at the Flea here in town. I found some of the old curved adjustable wrenches. Two looked to have been welded in place so they would be what size needed at all times. Made a deal for all three crusty wrenches for $5. After getting home, figured out it wasn't welded, but melted lead which came right off with a few whacks of a hammer and chisel! Now to de-rust and try to unfreeze the adjuster thumb wheels. Found a P&C wrench, and a PLOMB. ON to the bigger flea market thats monthly an hour down the road.

After a few tasty Tacos, I started looking around. Its half the size on Sunday so didn't score much. First, find was a small Vulcan prybar. Pretty neat. then on a $1 table found a couple of Plomb 1/2 deep well sockets. Already had both but couldn't leave em there for a buck a piece. While digging around in this pile I found three Craftsman Circle H 1/2drv sockets and a tie rod socket. Its Very think walled compared to the other I have and a lot shorter tip on it. Also found a PLOMB 1/2 drv 9/16 6 point short socket. the first one I've seen like this.... found a Barcalo wrench and a neat Duro 3/4 speed wrench. Also found a darker colored socket looks to be an impact deep well maybe.. 3/8 drv with the marking of AT-3018 312 at the bottom and that's it. hope to get out more this Friday while off!

sorry I forgot about getting more pics of this little ratchet for ya.. but here it is. gonna fill it up with some sockets in the extra pile I think after a sandblast and repaint.

Outlaw, any markings on the Corbin padlock?

You barely caught me Jeff! In about 6 hours I leave for a week of hunting and no internet.

I had to looks 2X Jeff, but yes! one edge has PG&E & Co, stamped in! not too surprising as the PO had clearly worked for PG&E. For instance that metal mini First aid kit... there was another but in plastic so I passed.

Other than that, and "Corbin", no other markings. This one is a bit bigger and fatter than most brass padlocks I see around.

That Plomb is for connecting rods on prewar cars, if I remember right.

I helped some ladies set up a church rummage sale last night and came away with a small handful of interesting tools. They're all in bad shape, but cool old brands.

The battery pliers are for my growing vintage K-D collection.

The long 15* angle pattern DBE is a Duro-Chrome 2014A (11/16 x 3/4) with a “G” code (1945)! This is not an easy size combination for WWII collectors to find from any mfgr, and the Duro-Chrome is highly coveted.

The 3/8-inch drive swivel socket on the far left had so much crud on it I didn’t even know what it was for sure. It’s a Plomb WF-78 (3/4").

The 2” extension is also a 3/8-inch drive Plomb 5260. Any 3/8-inch drive stuff is few and far between in my neck of the woods, and I hardly ever see it in Plomb, so I was elated with these finds.

The 1/2-inch drive male-to-female uni joints are a Snap-On (1940 code) and unbranded.

The 1/2-inch drive socket is a wartime Walden-Worcester 1816 (1/2”).

The little adapter is a 1/2-inch male to 3/8-inch female Duro-Chrome model number 482 with a “G” (1945) code.

The Navy pea coat is authentic military issue, 1953 stock number. The most amazing thing is the size: 46R. If you collect WWII/KW stuff to wear for yourself (i.e., “Ike” jackets, etc), you know that it’s almost impossible to find large sizes. I was thrilled.

It was a Bonney day this morning.
I started at a yard sale that was a bust, then went to an Estate auction Preview/Tag sale. Orange tags were for tomorrow's auction only, white tags or no tags were fair game. Lots of 90's Woodworker's Warehouse stuff, Delta and Reliant. Meanwhile, the wrenches were cheap Sear's branded. Everything tagged was priced high. $400 for a 60lb anvil. The few untagged tools were much more reasonable. I ended up spending $23 total.

Here's the first $15 haul.

Bonney 1/2dr 12pt sockets
----- A14 - 7/16"
----- A16 - 1/2"
----- A18 - 9/16"
----- A20 - 5/8"
----- A22 - 11/16"
----- A24 - 3/4"
----- A26 - 13/16"
----- A28 - 7/8"

Bonney 1/4dr 12pt sockets
----- V6 - 3/16"
----- V7 - 7/32"
----- V8 - 1/4"
----- V11 - 11/32"
----- V12 - 3/8"
----- V14 - 7/16"
----- V16 - 1/2"

Bonney 3/8dr 6pt & 12pt sockets
----- TLH12 - 3/8" mid length
----- TLH14 - 7/16" mid length
----- TH12 - 3/8"
----- TH14 - 7/16"
Taiwan - 9/16"
----- TH18 - 9/16"
----- T22 - 11/16"
----- T24 - 3/4"
----- TL22 - 11/16" deep
----- TL20 - 5/8" deep
SK 45116 1/2" 3/8dr 6pt socket

Bonney A-702K 1/2dr ratchet
-------- T-702K 3/8dr ratchet
Craftsman body dolly
SK 40422 11/16" 3/8dr deep socket
SnapOn A177 door trim pad tool
SK 40190 1/2dr universal joint
