Actually this has been up for debate by the owner of this board recently. He is asking how moderation should go down. He's willing to do it either way and I think the general consensus right now is allowing some chat so long as it stays on the topic of the thread and this is HD deals so I'd say we're right on topic.. Slightly different set. The husky set has a 8, 9, 10mm. I believe the GW is 6, 8, 10mm. Otherwise very similar. I prefer the Husky. They are annual Christmas sets. I have 3 sets from 3 years ago.

This is a heads up for the Makita X2 toolkits with the extra 2 5ah batteries included. MY store has all their X2 tools marked down, not an advertised special. The tools are located on an endcap; not in the normal makita tool section. As an example the battery powered dual bevel 10" slide saw Model# XSL06PT is listed at 649.00 and is on sale for 399.00. This price includes includes 4 5ah batteries with dual battery charger. They also had the blower, worm drive style circular saw, and sawzall. YMMV

How are you getting 11% back on this? It seems that that 11% matching expired a few weeks ago? Also given it's a sale they don't have to honor the military discount from what I've been told/read.

The 11% discount is only at select stores that have a Menards near by. Usually they have a link to the list on the rebate page. I haven't bothered looking in a few months because none of the stores near me participate.

You guys are gonna love this one. Took a couple $25 buckets of deck screws back this morning, since I was able to find penny replacements. Went to the screw aisle, just for the hell of it and, what do ya know, several old buckets right on the floor. Grabbed one, checked out, continued on my trip. Decided to stop back on my way home and grab another. Would you believe they put the buckets I returned, now penny status, right back on the floor? Not only are they not pulling penny items off the floor, they’re actually returning them to the floor. Hilarious?

played around with the computer two days ago. found a big Husy tool chest + top chest marked as .01. none in stock at the store i was at, but two in stock at a different store.
is the computer pricing only for the store you're in? suspect that is yes: and the item is probably full price at the other store.

The products you listed are not at very good prices, you need to wait until they hit a price that ends in .03, then they'll be 75% off and a "good price".

Stalking MET carts are we now? [emoji23]... depending on the vendor it either gets sent back as a buyback or sent off to RDC where they’ll be sold on bulk pallets to 3rd party vendors

That’s pretty much what they do during the day... these guys walking out with penny items have lazy MET teams... My store (I’m an HD employee) and pretty much my whole district is pretty much on top of it and the only things that are pennied out are the stuff in overheads that the normal associates pull down to be sent back
