Not to bust your bubble, but HD does over $100 billion/yr worth of revenue. You will need to convince about 1 milion of your closest buddies to do the same in order to make a statistically significant reduction in their revenue.

There are many people like me. We will add up. They are losing more and more business to superstores like Amazon daily also so they're listening and caring more than you think. At one point Sears wasn't listening or caring either because their revenue was so great. The CFO of Sears goes to my gym and we talk at length, believe me he cares nowadays. He's always telling me how they're trying to change the business model and selling off brands including craftsman to other stores just to stay afloat.

I have never had good luck thru the "bid room". On average they saved me 10% . I am a disabled vet and They will not combine military.

I find better success shopping lowes. at least for now you can double dip on the bulk pricing and military if that is an option for you.

Thanks for your service. I will price out lowes as well for this next project. I have heard that menards also has a "door sale". I have a bunch of doors to replace in this house I just bought. What my thought was on this project is if the bid room can't do any good I can always use my military 10% discount and while waiting for the menards 11% sale submit the receipt for the menards 11% matching deal .

On a second note, does anyone know when new clearance prices become active? Is it at midnight (right when the store opens) or when the sticker is scanned and replaced?

From Fort Wayne, IN. We only have one HD so easy to find.

The blower is at the clearance end cap in electrical area, almost across from the doors that lead to the outside gardening area. There are about 8-10 boxes, only one had yellow price sticker, 98 USD. Tool only.

All others are in the clearance end cap in the tools area.

There were also dewalt stuff in the tool department clearance end cap. 18V hammer drill (clearance end cap). 20V impact (clearance end cap). 20V drill+impact kit in the tool area (not end cap), the sticker said 179 USD.

Are you searching online or on a store computer?

You have to know the store number. When you are in the PCA, in upper right corner click store and enter the store number and click ok. Then you can search for the items in that particular store.

To get back to the store you are in, click store again in the upper right, click set to local and click ok.

I wish I could talk to this guy

next time you see him tell him store employees need to learn how to use the phone. No matter which department you try nobody answers the phone and if they do and you start by asking them repeatedly not to transfer anywhere.. they don't listen they put you on hold and try to transfer and of course call gets dropped.

It's actually an interesting story - Kmart was broke - the guy who bought them realized that they owned all their stores at the time, sold off a bunch of stores/real estate to pay off the loan, and then was in a good enough position to buy Sears. The combined company has the name of "Sears Holdings", i believe that was because Sears had the better name.

I don't understand how this works. The HD app just shows regular prices for scanned barcodes and I went to a store today and I dont think I saw a single item for more than 10% off....

I use my HD app to scan in store merchandise. Was pulling up clearance items. Which shocked me. I was connected to WiFi too. Never seen this before. It’s a game changer.

That only works if you have an HD account and it recognizes your zipcode, it will then show clearance in your home store if you're doing it right.

That's fine it doesn't bother me. I was Hickory NC that day but I travel for work so I'm in and out of many different locations every week. I don't horde the deals I may get a couple by I try not be a deal hog

They should have just kept the money.

I will test this theory tomorrow. I'll go to my store and scan a penny screw box BC i take w/ me off of one of my boxes. Will report back.

My store seems to have found more fire pits after they were all gone last week, or something. Thought about the Whitlock but the reviews weren’t great.
