Couple freezers marked down. Heres a good deal on a small fridge/freezer combo.

Anyone know what to do next in this situation.

Bought a magic chef wine fridge. Pennied out but they sold it to me for last price 138.03. Fast forward two months and now it stopped working and I contacted magic chef for warranty repair. Sent the receipt and they stated they can’t since the receipt says “general sku item”.

Store and corporate won’t give me a receipt with the wine cooler on there.

Anything else I could try?

$138 for a fridge that works for 2 months is not a good deal lol. I’m not asking Home Depot for a refund 6 months after. I’m asking for a correct receipt.

The part that gets me is that they are willing to give me a refund for that item when I bring it in but their excuse for not giving me a receipt with that item on there is because they can’t prove that that’s the item I bought sounds pretty dumb to me.

Ask to have them talk to the cashier that is named on the receipt. Hopefully they were correctly logged in, and could perhaps back up your story.

Does Home Depot still over that same wine fridge on their website? If so, you can always order one from the website and then return the failed unit in store using the receipt from your online order.

Can that be called robbery?

Honestly thats ***** but also why I wont buy anything like that under General Sku. Tools or something else is different. Just take the return why you can.

It's not robbery when HD sells you something using a generic SKU and then won't work with you when you need warranty support on the item. They didn't have any problem being creative in taking his money for the item in the first place so it's just being creative with their system on his part to get the warranty that should have come with the product.

I can see why Ryan is getting upset. Way to much chit chat going on here. This is a place to post deals .... period. There are other forums to air your grievances.

True but my incident could happen to anyone here when they buy deals. If I would have heard about this before I would’ve made sure the product was on the receipt when I bought it just as anyone should here when getting a deal. Be an informed Home Depot dealer!

I don't care if I bought a $1000 item for 2 cents. Unless it said "no warranty" I want the full warranty offered by seller and manufacturer...I would be pissed

This. If something is purchased as "new" from a retail store it should have full warranty unless otherwise stated. It doesn't matter what price was paid.

Best 20 cents I spend the last few days. I was planning on going back for more, but after this I am sure the cashier went and got the rest of them. 20180624_183139.jpeg

Thank you for my first penny deal score.

Waked out with six rolls and felt guilty paying so little for them.

Still quite a few rolls left at the Fairfax Circle, VA store. They are mixed in with the regular full price price rolls.

051141382821 SPR33ELCTP <A>3/4 IN X 73 FT SUPER 33+ ELECL TAPE

NOTE: the rolls you are looking for are the 73ft rolls. They will say "10% More" on the label.

In my store they had them mixed in with the regular priced rolls of tape.

What are you guys doing with a dozen rolls of electrical tape? Am I the only one that barely uses it? I know some guys wrap around an outlet's side contacts before installing it in a box. Other than that, the only other time I see it used is a short piece around a wire nut.

If I had a dozen rolls of electrical tape I might actually have a chance of finding a roll when I needed it!

In older houses with old rubber or cloth wire insulation, the insulation tends to fall off whenever you touch it to replace a receptacle or make a change. I use electrical tape to wrap the wires as a precaution.

Now if we could find a good deal on WHITE electrical tape......
