Yu were lucky.. When I tried to doing return rebuy to get lower clearance price.. The return desk told me they don't do that and they were supposed to keep track of people doing it as considered fraud... Supposedly there keeping tracking info from these transaction to considering possible fraud charges.. So if smart return desk employee catch Yu.. Could be trouble or on blacklist.

I dont see any issues. I simply asked the employee if they would price match the sale price from a different location, they told me they would since I had a picture with the price and the model number, and I bought the tool. I didnt return and rebuy anything or scam the system, simply asked a question and paid the cashier.

Tried to check out with an item that was no longer in the PCA. Came up not found in the price check on the self check out. The attendant came over and scanned it with the handheld and it came up a penny on the register and in the end could only offer it to me at last clearance price.

So, if you price check something at the SCO and it comes up not found, try just starting the checkout and see if it rings up .01. I didnt get a chance to try that as the attendant came over after the second time I tried to price check it.

Can you clarify or am I the only one not following this sentence?

Price check is an option on the screen. If the price check throws an error, cancel out and scan the item as you normally would to checkout.

Unless they are too busy to monitor you, I'd rather do my price checking elsewhere in the store. I've used the price check option, but a rarity, and I have a feeling that even less for others. So to pull option up & then get an error, I'd be worried they would want to help me / screw it all up.

The below is correct.

This was an item that was no longer showing in the PCA so I wanted to double check price before I rang it up. There wasnt anybody around at the SCO which is why I tried to check the price there first. But, she came up after I scanned it a couple times.

Might show up $95 at most stores but I found one that had it a $48.03.

Thanks, pick it up for $95, not gonna risk waiting a few weeks for a price reduction when I actually need one now for suspension work.

Don’t forget your free battery and charger. 6f610add78859e9606afdbb0f59ec98c.jpg

You're just confusing people with this, I noticed you blanked the date out of your receipt, the promotion is over and not valid, I tried it today.

Did you try buying 2 impacts or just 1? I'm going to head in to make sure it doesn't work for sure later, but you do need to buy 2 tools for the promo.

They are pulling your leg on this - there is no blacklist except for no receipt returns (TRE).

I tried today at a SoCal store and they were full price.

If anybody gets an extra one at the $48 and wants to make a few bucks and will ship I'm interested so please shoot me a PM.
Thx

Tried in SoCal as well...no dice.

Technically the store manager said I could buy this at the clearance price from another store even outside their District and have the pickup be at my local store.

The big question is which districts/regions is this tool on sale?

Saw some killer deals on Cabot stains/sealers today. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out a use for any of them :(

Quarts were down to $1.25 or so. Gallons ~$4. 5 gallons were about $11

I almost bought a couple to stash away, but left the deal for someone else.

Anyone know the rough time when the Ego stuff drops in price/clearance? Trying to scoop some of that stuff up for a while but missed my chance last year. Just wondering if it’s just a fall time thing or what. Thanks

There's a bunch of EGO stuff on the Special Buy today.

Same here in NH. Thought about picking up a couple, but don't foresee any use for them anytime soon.

amazing how fast the impacts sell at 100 bucks.
You must not be in an area where a lot of stolen merch is thrown up on OfferUp. 12.0 batteries go for 100 or less around here. High torques are listed for 120, or 150 with 5.0 battery!! It's crazy. I bet a man could not sell a mid tq for more than $80 in my area.

Those are high theft around here too. I found two empty boxes in the outdoor section one day.

That's the hard part about chasing Home Depot Deals!

I think deal chasing has become quite the sport here in Tampa. If I see something posted that I'd like to have I head straight out to the 3 stores in my area. I usually find empty slots. A search on Facebook classifieds shows a bunch of these impacts, new in box, for $120 around here. I really don't know how the time and effort is worth ~$20 to some people, I guess I'm pretty lucky to not need to do it.

They've also gotten pretty picky about terminal use around here. The one store removed the terminals from the out of the way corners. I generally have an employee by my side within a minute these days at my local stores. They say "can I help you?" I politely say "I'm doing ok, just need some product specs from the public side, Thank you". They generally stare at me and the computer as if I didn't get the hint, I continue what I'm doing, they huff and walk away.
I had one employee tell me they weren't for customer use. I acted confused and said "is that a recent change? Mike just showed me how to use the public side a couple weeks ago?". The employee looked startled and walked off in a hurry. I noticed on the way out the store's general manager's name was Mike. :bounce:

Happy hunting!

Yup, I've pretty much given up. Luckily I drive a lot for work, that's where I find deals. Decent deals on the second-hand market from thieves and SDers in the city. Plus some of the store managers are really uptight here, the Dale Mabry store has a prompt on-screen through self-checkout for penny items. They'll stop the whole store if you get one and make a huge deal out of it if you find one.

Just remember if there’s 1 in stock the display counts and if it’s clearance then that one is fair game

If you have been reading this thread, someone told you how to get these for the clearance price in the last couple of days - you buy it in the store with the low price and no inventory then pickup in the high price store with inventory. I wouldn’t count on the cashier being familiar with this feature. Probably need to go to the service desk and find someone that has been around for a while.

You may have success doing that, but it is a crime. That's what one of the crime rings recently in the news was doing.

Let them do it. That’s how we thin out the thief’s and the deal hunters.

Once they scan your ID/License and issue you store credit your *** is in the watch list. (TRE) the retail equation will not only ban them from HD but from other merchants that work with TRE.

Agree that it might be illegal, but the crime ring I read about was a lot more sophisticated then returning clearance items for full price. They were having people steal stuff and others returning the stolen merchandise and then selling the store credit at a discount.

Personally had the exact opposite happen to me, bought some tile that was later discontinued. Couldn't find the receipt, and the return price was one cent :lol_hitti Yep I still have the tile.

Shouldn't the mid-torque alone (without the battery) cost $50 when on clearance?
Will I be able to get the free XC 5.0 battery as well?
