My first penny score... THANKS!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

there not even worth a penny....pure junk....sorry... I rather use a weedwacker to do it all in one shot....not have 2 different tools. I like my milwaukee cordless weed wacker...works great and last long time.

Pretty decent router for the $16dda2ac98887a79b3b7cd18af2f29b4.jpg

Nice deal! I just bought one of those earlier this year for over $100. Directv/AT&T finally admitted to me that their routers **** and If I wanted my wifi to work worth a flip I would have to buy a new one. Its been great. Finally get whole home coverage.

Don't post any deals on items with "THIS ITEM ONLY" stickers on them. It means exactly what it says and will not be repeatable anywhere else.

I would respectfully disagree. that could be the same store somebody else on the forum shop for in the same toolbox they've been looking for 4 months. Could definitely help some people score some deals! After all, that's what the threat is for!

Maybe put the store number when something like that is posted?

Okay y’all help me out. I’ve scored a lot of deals at Home Depot at 50% and 75%. But never a penny. I’ve been keeping tabs on a store nearby with two of the Makita subcompact kits left. I haven’t been able to get eyes on them. They have been at $150.00 for a while. Assuming the store still has them I would be stoked to find them. But I can’t really argue for spending $150 on a set I don’t NEED. but at a penny, duh. So any indication for when they will drop to a penny so I can give it a good go to find them? PCA and brickseek have 2 in store but I can’t find them yet.

Most Makita and MKE that goes clearance at .00 (especially at 50%) will stay at that price essentially forever. Occasionally you get .03 or .02 after that which means eventually 1 cent, but it is infrequent. For example, my nearby store in the suburbs had the Makita brushless drywall screw gun clearanced at $75 two years ago. When I was searching the PCA the other day for 18V LXT (my Makita search string) it was still there, 75 bucks, 0 quantity. It is unlikely the subcompact kit will drop again. You should buy at $150.

Thank you for the information. Yeah I wondered that because my local PCA still shows really old clearanced stuff not pennied, and I don’t hear about all clearance deals reaching a penny. The reason I was wondering was someone recently posted about the Makita X2 blower being cleared at .01 so I didn’t know if this had a shot to get that low.

I seem to recall last year on Christmas Eve (or maybe a little sooner), some people were posting that stores had tables / carts with penny items by the entrance... One person I think I remember even saying the manager was going around giving penny items to customers. Nothing super fancy, like bottles of cleaner or whatnot... But still something to remember to keep an eye out for...

That’s a really cool manager. I haven’t seen that yet but what a neat idea and free way to promote your store.

Usually it is chemicals so they do not have to pay to dispose. They also put some cheap dewalt or Makita for free if you apply for credit card.

Any bottled chemical you shouldn't be throwing in a dumpster usually ends up like this. One of the stores near me that seemed to have herbicides & pesticides longer than the others, brought them right to front entrance & custom sku'd them to $.15. I wasn't going to worry about $.14 on a $20 of herbicide/pesticide.

They could have just called me, and saved the time setting up their display :bounce:

Thanks for posting the photo big country!! Used it to do a price match at my local store which was only half-off (this was 75% off). Great router for the price.

They're a good price for such a large set, but the screw points are too gimmicky for me... might be fine if all your lumber is perfectly dry and clean, but I used mine on some pressure-treated stuff and now the screws are all gummed up.

Again holiday special rather than clearance- I picked up a 2-pack of Coast 435-lumen headlamps for $20 and feel like I stole them for the price. May go buy another set or two in hopes of being able to find at least one when I need it....

If that's too good a deal for you, you can also buy one of 'em for the same price, but with a little more decoration on the headband :headscrat

These sets are awesome. Watch for them to clearance when HD resets the racetrack. Two or three years ago, I bought a couple at $5 then got several more when they dropped again. The screw point really works well to pull the bit thru the wood. They are great for the 65 year old hardwood joists in my basement.

1001219921 - arctic cove 18v misting fan. $20.03 was $79. Comes with a Fan, a ryobi compatible battery and one of their junk clip over the top chargers. there are a ton in stock all over tucson, az. so for $20 you get a fan and a ryobi battery. this seems like a pretty good deal. I have a picture but am not allowed to post it because my post count is too low (first post).

Picked these 3 beauties up today for a penny each. Been sitting on the rack since March. Salesgirl didn’t give me any flack. Going to try to sell them as I don’t have any echo batts.

Snagged one tonight. Left one. Debating if I need two haha. Thanks for the heads up! I have a better Ryobi Charger and bigger batteries to run it off of. Planning to use it just as a fan, almost bought the Milwaukee at $60 so glad I waited thanks.

I have the Makita rear handle 36v bare tool at $100, I have a good cordless and corded saws already but I hear that is the one to beat

Also the mid torque kit at $150. Also don’t need due to scoring the Ryobi kit for almost nothing... but both these deals are tempting!

There are tons of makita bulk bits on sale 40-60% off. Crazy good deals on there if you burn through bits or adapters. Time to stock up.
