I came here to say this. I had a smoking deal on a Weber natural gas and I contacted Weber because I couldn't find their conversion kit and they said they do't sell one and that they cold help me purchase a LP grill......I imagine it has to do with liability.... but still *****

You guys think your local propane supplier could help you by supplying new orifices for converting the burners from natural to propane? I run my grill and smoker off a branch of my house propane lines and my propane guy made me up two 12' or 15' lengths of flexible rubber gas hose to power them. The gas is regulated down from tank pressure at the point it enters the house so I didn't need to have a regulator at the units.

ETA....

I picked up one of the $349.00 (minus 10%) sale grill at Lowe's yesterday and it's.....

"Dual fuel™ enabled for an easy conversion from propane to natural gas. Conversion kit sold separately. 1-year limited grill warranty and 10-yr limited burner warranty".

It's going to be replacing a 3-4 year old all stainless Charbroil grill that works great and still looks new but I think I want the divided cooking areas that the new one offers.

In the MidWest, most homes are heated and supplied by Natural Gas. I only have propane in 20 gallon tanks for my grill. And natural gas suppliers aren't making anyone a line for such things

Picked up this Makita drill set (XFD131) for $79.00 (yellow sticker) at my local HD. Included the XFD13 drill, a charger, 3.0 AH battery, and a little blue carry bag. It does not have hammer drill option, is brushless 2 speed, with clutch, top torque is 440 in-lb which is still plenty good for normal indoor tasks.

Amazon is selling it for $159

I didn't really need it, but I could see use for a second one for indoor duty only. Just the charger and the battery would probably cost $60 or so if you hunted around.

It's a bit more compact than my XPH06, which includes hammer drill capability, and a bit more torque.

There are 2 of these at Downers Grove, IL store as well as 1 Milwaukee brushless impact (special buy) with 1 batt/charger/bag for $79.

What are you talking about? You just make your own NG hookup with black pipe and an appliance line. If you need a regulator for pressure just put one in line.

I'm trying not to make this a BBQ thread... maybe we should make a separate one to talk about this issue?

Vision Grills Ceramic Smoker

Internet #202926563

Was 699, now 299

I found these a few days ago and couldn't pass it up. They had 3 in stock, I bought 1 that was still in the box and 1 that was a floor model.

I'm in Bridgeport, WV (zip 26330)

I couldn't find any more of these smokers near me, so not sure if its a store only clearance but wanted to get the info out there. I'll use one for myself and give the other to my brother as a gift.

They are heavier than they look, was a bit rough getting them off my truck.

Talked to the manager at a local HD That had 2. He said they just received them and set up the display 2 weeks ago so would be surprised if they were discontinued at his store this soon.

We have had those smokers at our local store for over a year(I've walked by them many times). It looks like they are getting rid of most of the expensive grills/smokers in my area.

At first I thought it was just the display models on sale, but they sold me one that was still new in the box for the same price. The box wasn't in the best shape though, it looks likes they have moved it around a lot.

Remember always keep your eyes out for old deals.

I found one of those Husky 26” tops and it was down to $14 (the updated textured ones were $44, wanted but didn’t need, some stores have them at $15)

I also found one of the last Makita X2 10” miter saw kits at $325, they even marked it down to $244 because it was a display. After I sell the extra dual charger I’ll be about $200 for the saw.

So i just found a makita compound miter saw that is on clearance, Its sitting shrink wrapped on a pallet all the way up on a shelf. Has anyone had any luck convincing a manager to take it down, and sell it? They were on clearance a few months ago. Wondering if its headed back to distributor? Or will they still sell it??

If it's not a penny, they will take it down and sell it if you ask.

They will absolutely still sell it, it is still for sale. Should be at $325. I just found one like that, I had them take it down and I even convince them to take 25% off because it had been a display.

Did I miss a weed pump sprayer that is on clearance? I noticed someone mentioned how much battery life they get out of a 1.5ah battery on page 1.

If you read above that post, there were several on a 4-pack battery deal. One of the batteries was a 1.5ah, and someone mentioned how many gallons it pumped on his sprayer. No deal on the sprayer

and welcome to GJ

Anyone wanting dannmar call them or garage equipment supply direct and ask for open box or scratch and dent models. They usually have some available and cheaper price than anywhere else.

Well they said it's not for sale. Oh well.

That’s weird. If you really want it I would head back a different time find a regular employee and just point it out and say you want to buy that. Every time I find something in the racks , the first employee I talk to has the means and ability to get it down.

Or second option is call in, give them the SKU and ask if it’s in stock. If it’s in stock they should be selling it. Maybe mention where you saw it and have them pull it for you and come in and pay.

Unless its a restricted sale item (like part of a 4th of July pallet), then that answer either means penny, return to vendor, or most likely, "FU IM HIDING IT UNTIL I CAN BUY IT MYSELF"

See if it’s still there in a month or 2. If it is, make them an offer

I think the issue is getting the lazy a$$ workers getting it down. No one wants to be bothered. I really don't need it, but would buy it at the clearance price, and sell my corded one. I'm just a diy'er, and would work nice for me.

If it’s really an RTV, then it’s already a penny, and they aren’t supposed to get it down for you. Even stubborn managers will change their mind about selling pennied out items, if they’ve been taking up rafter space for too long, though.
