The store near the tucson mall has like 12 of these. $270 for a 12" slider with lifetime service is not too shabby.
Not really.. Yu can get Dewalt 12" sliding mitersaw all day long for $349 on HD. Com or Lowes. .. Way better then ridgid stuff. That Dewalt is rated one of top mitersaw. Next closes is higher up Dewalt for $599.. Not much difference, beats me.

The difference in the dewalt saws is a lazer cut guide instead of the led blade shadow cut guide. And the ridgid is almost $100 cheaper than that dewalt. So it is a decent deal. It is also cheaper than a harbor freight Hercules saw. Which at a minimum has a much worse warranty. So while not the greatest penny deal. It is still a good deal for a saw of this size.

And hey. Atleast I am posting deals instead of fart jokes.

Got 2 of this a year ago for $125 each, there were 8 more, went the following day and disappeared... now they are on the floor again for $270 too

I own both of the dewalt 12" saws and while they are decent saws I'm leaning toward buying that rigid to try out. My biggest problem with the dewalt is the width of cut, how wide a board they can actually cut. Its several inches under what they advertise. The cheaper dewalt ($349) saw it can cut up to a 2x14 in one go thanks to their super special back fence design. In truth, it can barely cut through a 2x10. To cut through something wider you need to take off the dewalt fence and make a new one out of wood.
The more expensive dewalt can cut a little wider, but not much. For most jobs the cheaper dewalt will work great. Its got a strong 15 amp motor.

I'd put the dewalts over most of the competition, it is a solid saw that has not given any real problems over the 3 or 4 years I've had them. I'm a full time woodworker, so use them everyday. The rigid is tempting because it has a much longer sliding mechanism so could do wide boards. I wouldn't pay $599 for the rigid, but for under $300 I think its a solid buy.

I honestly have no idea if this is a GREAT deal. But I figure 2 flexvolt batteries, The fv saw, and the fv drill for less than $300 is not too bad when the batteries retail for $149 each.

For all of you out there using your Military discount at HD, there has been a major change in their matching Menard's 11% discount. I have been doing the 11% for a few years and never had one problem with the rebates. They were easy to do and quick to send out the gift card. Now it seems to have changed.

IF you get any promo price or other discount including Military, it disqualifies on that purchase. I went back and forth and they insist that this has always been the policy, but I do submit on around 1/2 of the Menards 11% when they run them. I asked to have it reviewed higher up, but...here is the HD Rebate final response:

https://www.homedepotrebates11percent.com/media/uploads/1567516759751.pdf
(Look at the bottom of page 1 ...not valid with any other discount or offer)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
[email protected]

I am sorry that your rebate has not been processed. After researching, I was able to verify that your rebate cannot be approved because a discount was applied in your purchase, according to the terms and conditions of the promotion, a purchase with a discount is not eligible for a rebate. You can check this reading the terms and conditions available online on our website or the rebate form.

For future rebate opportunities, please visit us online at www.homedepotrebates.com/11percentmatch.

Thank you for contacting The Home Depot Rebate Center.

I thought that was always part of the fine print but it was never enforced. I’m surprised it took them this long to crack down.

It always was, but there was an old policy (long gone) that you could stack the military discount on pretty much everything.

Times change, but now HD can **** it and back to Acmetools, who will do what it takes in my experience and they have stock...lol

I was looking at a deal on Acme tonight. Deal was negated after $199 shipping. HD has shipped 95% of items 2 or less days. Both have pro's & cons, and Lowe's is just cons, aside from when buying clearance online was easier (from across the country).

If Home Depot’s goal is to sell these and liquidate their inventory, they should publicize what stores still have them. I don’t understand why they discount these items and then prevent the consumer from easily purchasing them.

PS: If anybody sees one of these at their local HD north of Seattle and west of the Cascades, please PM me! ;)

San Jose/Capitol Expressway store is showing four of the 200 pc socket sets but I was only able to find one on the overhead shelves and it rang up for $25.03. Thanks for the heads up on this!

A world where deals are indexed by brickseek and then posted on slickdeals within an hour of dropping to .06/.04 sounds like paradise to me.

Market inefficiencies are an oppurtunity...

I have often wondered the same thing, but it does give opportunity to those willing to put in the effort by using the store computers. I thought it was fun when I could search all stores but lost interest because even if you think you know which store has the goods, you still have to find them.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm traveling for work and found a store close by that had 3 in stock. Picked one up to for my shop. I have the 12" dewalt slider, it's nice and accurate but cant cut more than a 10-11" wide board. That rigid has a much longer slider on it so it will be handy to have. If you hadn't posted this tip I'd of missed out.

Anyone have any thoughts on this kit as a way to get into the M18 ecosystem? Or should I wait for a black Friday deal on a larger kit?

I could use the help of some fellow hunters. My local HD is actively going outta the way to keep me from finding deals. So far as too store/hide items in shopping cart in there employee computer room.

Normally these items would be thrown away or if being shipped pack to suppliers they have back room full of inventory. I even had one employee that I'm friendly with say upper management doesn't like what I do. I'm confused cause I don't even clear shelves... I only buy 2 of any item deals. Rather leave some behind for next hunter.

Anyhow, my issue I need help with...I have located a spot in outside lumber area where there are few kitchen sinks selling at penny. I 100% confirmed they are penny but I can't grab them myself cause they are at very top shelve.

Any suggestions on how I can get them down without alerting them to my deal. Or how I could somehow pay for them while they are up there and then go back to retrieve after paying? This way they can't say no cause technically they are my property.

Any help would be great. I'm trying to fix my mom's house with very limited budget.

Thanks for any advice

No serious advice. But there’s always this:

If you think pre-paying could work, you can print off the barcode of the item from BrickSeek, and scan that barcode at the self checkout. If it rings up a penny, be quick on completing the transaction.

********.

Why call BS on this if you don't have first-hand knowledge? I picked up several of these Bosch optical levels, along with some of the tripods and leveling rods, for pennies a few years ago when they went thru the clearance markdown.

Drag the orange ladder over when it is slow and there is no one to “help” you.

Lol. Guess my post was deleted. Didn't think anyone was going to soil their knickers over it. Sorry

Why was your original post deleted? Is there some secret that someone doesn't want us to know?

Thanks for reposting.

No. I was enjoying my Friday night let say, and used one of every emoji I could legitimately. Finally got to use :bs: & :monkey_po. Suppose I should have tried to find the drunk posting thread...

Holy *&$#, tomwil I will definitely give that a try. Amazing idea! If this works it could be huge. But I'm thinking it also might cause bigger issue...so I'll play it by ear. Dont get me wrong I really need this sink to help finish my moms kitchen but if this will cause them to really start messing with me & or ban me... then I'm not going to push it.

Fourjeepin....I tried that once with similar item... meaning a big item... and quickly they came out from every isle and gave me the 3rd degree about using "their" employee ladder. So I already have 1 warning on that idea.

Zippercat, you also have great idea I might try it just to break the ice & get laugh. I know some of the guys in security anyhow.

Will keep you guys posted if barcode idea works
