No worries if you don’t want to say, but which neighborhoods are these? I’m on the other side of the bay so don’t go to San Francisco garage sales often but once in a while I’m there on a weekend and check some out.
Medallion reads: * WARRANTED * SUPERIOR -Any of the saw collectors know the maker?

It's "comparative" for me; I generally will spend from $1-$5 on a saw I want -at 4X my usual high end, I can't call it a steal.@Outlawmws At $20, for something that nice, and older than anyone can definitively pinpoint, how is that saw not a steal?
Mike

Gerstner sells a reproduction leather handle that will fit your Union box. You can also make your own out of a piece of steel rod, lot's of thin strips of paper and leather for the outer wrap. The drop down front will be pretty easy to make since it's not a raised panel style. The hard part to source will be the lock. They are unobtanium but there are others that are pretty close. Yours has all the ring pulls, drawers and corner hardware which is very fortunate. So total recap of Thursday, as promised.
Along with the Crescent screwdrivers (nice surprise), I got a couple of unmarked machinist squares, a few different unmarked small hammers, various blades and sundry. The small tape was a Montgomery Wards 6ft, the compass/divider is an older Starrett, my first Bernard Schollhorn. All together was about $30 pictured
And why I showed up 2hrs before the sale was completely based on others research in this thread... a "duplicate" Union 8d box! Unfortunately, it is missing the handle and the dropfront. Right next to it was a 3d Gerstner & sons, with dropfront and keys. Both together were about $90 out the door.

So looking at a 1928 Disston catalog, it has a lot of similarities to a D20 skew back dimensions are the same and for the handle outline, and the Wheat pattern on the grip - the pattern is only on one side of the grip and also not om the "Blade side" of the wood. The grip hols has differences, adn the heel of the blade is rounded on the craftsman adn "square" on the Disston drawing.I would go to the Disstonian, and compare the handle shape and nut patterns, on the >50% chance Disston made it. I would also age it based on the medallion characteristics, regardless of maker.
Failing that, got to ITCL and then poke thru Atkins, Simonds etc see if you can find a handle match.

Outlaws, too bad you weren't local. Last sale had tons of lanterns, as well as parts. Saw one guy put a set of small drawers on the hold table. Coleman logo on the top, and and looked like packs of replacement parts and such. Also some camping amd such, some still in cardboard boxes.
If it was on Tahoe, I would have probably missed it. I spent some time on our lake last week that seemed worthwhile. The four Macinaw went back in the lake.Did you notice a mess of boats and crazy swimmers on the lake last week, Don (@d42jeep)? My daughter's boyfriend was in the water (long distance relay racer) and she was on a boat with the team.

Nice finds Cruz! Someone was into working on small stuff from the looks - possibly guns/pistols, I see a bore light in there - Yes?
I would almost guess the D20 is from 1927, based on the image about 1/2 way down the page here. Handle hole shape, and the notch on top match a little closer. So looking at a 1928 Disston catalog, it has a lot of similarities to a D20 skew back dimensions are the same and for the handle outline, and the Wheat pattern on the grip - the pattern is only on one side of the grip and also not om the "Blade side" of the wood. The blade is 7 TPI - but they skipped a tooth and left a gap for a tooth at about 1", 4-1/2", and 10-3/8

Sorry late to the party. FWIW, I came to the same conclusion (aided by the Disstonian siite) before getting to RTM’s and your assessments. I like, too, that that date jibes with Lugz’s ballpark on the wavy C’man logo.So that leaves the partial wheat carving, and the rounded "heel" but everything else screams 1927 D20 Disston.

From zero to two 8D’s in a week. Awesome job guys.
I don’t understand what these are and what they do? I googled “rivet sets” but didn’t see anything like these?rivet sets
Not just copper, and not just leather. Any rivets used on anything, including sheet metal, prior to compound riveters with handles and, later, rivet guns, as long as you had a hammer and backing. And even after the advent of more proficient riveters, hand rivet sets were still used in some applications, such as the kits used by upholsterers and body and radiator mechanics in WWII.I didn’t realize these were for copper rivets used on leather.
Snerk.So you saw 4 swimmers!![]()
I'm aware, and I've been there. And Don's place doesn't have the right LOS anyway. It was mainly a light-hearted rhetorical question to let him know DD#1 and BF were just in his stomping grounds.Tahoe is BIG; unless you were right there, you probably would not notice a big swim meet like that. 22 miles long, 12 wide...
By volume. There are several lakes that are bigger than Tahoe by area....only the 5 great lakes are bigger.

Here I will move is along- wait, did someone just purchase a Jerry can usmc marked? Look over therePontchartrain, in the same area, is also massive but shallow. I'm thinking Champlain in upstate NY might be bigger by area, too.
[Waiting for OR to come along move us off this geographical excursion...]
The craftsman set is a definite you ****. Looks nearly mint! That hacksaw with crown top blade is amazing!Last week I attended a family run estate sale where everything was "smokin hopium" priced.
The few items in the photos that I was interested in were already gone, so a total bust.
I asked if there were any more tools to come out, & the reply was,
"Maybe, if the brothers can decide what they don't want to keep".
So this week on Craigslist, again was their add with fresh pictures, & there was a Craftsman box with the price visible.
Kind of borderline for my wallet, but maybe there is more to look at:
Everything is =V= series, the ratchets both push button/oil port. Clean & nice looking stuff.
They had more tools for sale this time, a few pieces actually bargain priced:
Craftsman puller set $3.
On the left, Williams combos & 4" adjustable were in a 50 cent box.
1/4 drive Crown top box nice shape $9.
4 very nice Craftsman =V= doe for $3.
The pocket knives were 50 cents
Including this Mark Twain Barlow/Imperial
And finally a $2.00 Wizzard box.
That one was the most fun to find.

Never mind, I found a video. I didn’t realize these were for copper rivets used on leather.
Oh, that’s a good one! Nice find. I didn’t know those existed either
Wow! That is 3 x more Globe Wernike-ness than I have!I found a "double wide" Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase
