- The postcard on top is my second Good Vibes story. Vendor I am friendly with in the good way some vendors and some collectors get to know each other and favor each other. North Jersey guy. If he has something really valuable, I will tell him what it is, what it's worth, and tell him to get it off his dollar table. And if he has sonnething he thinks I'd like he'll keep it in his truck until I get there. Today he says he has something for me. I'm thinking a tool. I'm looking through his stuff and he's sitting on his tailgate thumbing through a bunch of old postcards. "Here," he says, and hands me that vintage West Point card. My son is a graduate. "How much you want for it?" I said. "Keep it," he says. I look him in the eye and we shake hands hard and no other words need pass between us.
Yes. It's from 1935. I have an extensive postcard collection. Nat Geo's, too. There ARE things I will not share here because it's not really garage related, even in our large liberal relaxed definition.Any way to date that postcard?
One more.Cleaned-up close-up teasers...
See Lugzosnian, Goggles, Old Walden, and Williams threads for more.

You ****Just got these for $1 each. Had to dig through lots of no name tools for them. I normally don't like newer cman stuff, but wth for a dollar.

Saw it in the ‘43 catalog. The short speeder also has that knob in the catalog.Yup it has the orange plastic handle, did you find any info about it, I didn’t even know it was one until I got home, I thought it was painted metal.

** Your drill press with the squared corner castings is made by Emerson Electric. They took over making the last of the prior rounded edges from King Seeley**I thought the skinny belt models were all made by King Seeley. I bought mine new in 1973 and it has the squared-off style castings. I didn't think the offshore-made models had anything but standard belts and to get down to 250 RPM, it needs a step-down idler.
**The person bemoaning the left behind cold spot fridge was yours truly$16 auction haul.
Here’s the contents of the small $2 cabinet .
If anyone knows what brand the cabinet is please let me know.
There was a Coldpoint fridge like someone was talking about a few pages back at that sale that was chalked full of paint and solvents that sold for $2, would have bought it but it would have been a pain to get it out and I didn’t have anywhere to put it.
- Coleman 75th anniversary cooler in box plus a second cooler! Box is dated 1975. I can't believe it. It also has the jug (not pictured). Hopefully outlaw would be proud even though it's probably a little new for him.

Lots of goodies being found! Well done guys!
That 75th anniversary in the box complete is a nice find, and the steel belted version is popular due to nostalgia. For use I use modern 5 and 6 day coolers, you jsut can't keep up with ice otherwise. I have one small vintage cooler an for a day picnic, it is doable but you probably won't have ice at the end of a hot day...

Thanks. For sure we are splitting any proceeds. We have actually been using the proceeds to fund a vacation and other unexpected expenses as they come up. It’s been really helpful and rewarding so far.Holy smokes Smokeshow69!
You **** for the free haul.
You will have to split it however with your MRS. for knowing to take along that awful looking wire seat thing.![]()
An AJAX folding drill bit index was my only find in my third haul of the year this year (Lugz 2023_03, post #402, page 11). My subsequent posting of it on the 'Drill Bit Indices' thread down on the VB (see A-Z Threads Index in Sticky) prompted a mini deep dive if you want to read up on their history and see other examples and their cousins (Morse, etc). Nice find. Some good finds this morning.
You can crack some jokes with it.Prince Albert can (1/4 ful... can I do anything with it?
