beautiful home/garage!! Love that brick, I want to do that for when I get my home.

I think what you see are mushrooms. Improper Ph levels or something. I have never had to deal with it but i have only ever seen them around trees or decaying wood (places where it is constantly moist). Maybe dig down and remove that soil around it and reseed grass? There seems to be a bunch of different ways people suggest solutions for. All generally end with the mushrooms growing back. Good luck, and don't eat them!

It is beginning to look more finished, at least on the outside. Lots of plans for the inside, but money is a bit tight after the driveway and patio.

Thanks! Yes, they flip up and a tray rolls out. Handy because they are 6' tall, and I am 5'8", so I can actually use the top "shelf".

Picked up a shed today off Craigslist. New for $199, they used to sell new for over $1000. Made in Canada. 8X10 Vinyl shed.

I painted both sides of the OSB with some outdoor paint that I got for $7 a gallon to help it hold up a bit longer.

I'm building a base for it from 2x6 PT and 3/4" OSB Tonge and Groove subfloor. I plan to move it to a concrete base when I build my workshop. I'll pour a pad for it then, so the base doesn't have to last more than 3 years.

This should free up some much needed space from my 20X20 garage.

Base is done. Took about 3 hours for the whole thing, minus painting of the floor pannels.

I need to do a little touch-up paint on the floor, and paint the frame, but it came out flat, level, and not too bad.

Thanks. I am planning to trim around the whole thing with vinyl lattice. I am debating a ramp that is hinged so I can flip it up off the grass. Not really sure yet.

It is much stronger and more heavy duty than the Rubermaid sheds.

It is an older version of this one that is currently available.

After I put it together I was cleaning the roof and slipped off the ladder and kind of body slammed my 240 pounds into the side of it. I bounced off, the shed didn't move a bit.

I'm much more impressed than I thought I would be, especially for $200 off CL. It isn't as pretty as the Costco Rubbermaid sheds, but it is tougher and stiffer, and the very smooth plastic siding cleans much easier. No pores to hold dirt and mold. Reviews from long term owners ago show many have had theirs for years and they still look new.

Your place is charming and oozes that idyllic "American Dream" style. You have a lot of parking space to show off your Sky. Have there been any updates over the winter, so far?

Thanks, it is very functional, if a bit small! I am really enjoying it.

I have done little to it, but a lot in it.

I use it to film DVDs.

I also use it for my own maintenance and repairs.

Did this on my wife's car today.

My plan is to extend the back of the garage 16 feet to add a workshop, freeing up the garage to actually park cars in.

Nice shed!! The company that makes them are only 10min from my house. I bought one of their first 8X8 sheds when they came out, back in the late 90's. Excellent construction and after all these years it's still holding up great!! You got that shed dirt cheap man!!

I am wondering about the texture of the VCT. I have thought about using in my garage, but worried about it being slick. It a motorcycle garage, so the rubber to floor footprint will be small like yours. Don't wanna slide across the floor after getting back from a wet ride.

Not as slick as seems to be the prevailing opinion. I find it to be ok, so long as I have rubber soled shoes on. Wearing leather dress shoes can be slightly slick. Not really an issue for me. I have much more issues with floor mats and carpets sliding on the floor than bare shoes. I now use rubber floor mats and have no issues.

I finished my corner shelving unit today.

I needed to organize this space:

I started with this donation from a friend:

Miter cut and welded the rack in freezing cold weather.

Ground off the welds and painted it.

Cut some wood shelving.

Positioned it:

Screwed down the wood, then covered it in VCT to match my floor and workbench.

Here you can see my trash can and compressor fit in place.

And the completed project!

I think it looks good. The fridge will be covered in SS decal, and there will be a real for the air hose attached too.
