Is that on rock work or the actual plants, just let mother nature grow weeds for a while, so you can get the garage finished.

Exactly. Plants are going in next year so I can finish the inside of the garage this year.

Moving along at a decent pace but the underground drain tile, utilities, etc. is taking longer than expected. The rain does not help either... Anyway, the Wayne-Dalton role down doors were intstalled (to keep all the neighborhood monsters out of my kegerator:D) and the electrical is just about wrapped up inside. The cedar ceiling is finished and am happy with the look. Next week is a big week as the "big pour" happens around the pool and bar area and we also get started with tearing down the old deck and replacing it with new Brazilian hardood (Cumaru). The Cumaru came in today and man is that stuff DENSE! Hopefully drywall starts in the garage too....

That is a fantastic property you have there. I've subscribed to this thread, and enjoy seeing the progress photos. I look forward to seeing the finished product (as I am sure you do as well).

This looks really cool, a nice hangout for the kids! Just wondering does the house already have its own garage?

Yes, I have a 35x30 attached garage for all my other junk. That area needs some help as well so I will probably tackle that after this one.

Everything is really impressive. Looking forward to seeing the finished landscaping pics.

I like the stamped concrete with the fossils in it. Rather unique!!!!

Here are some pics of the progress so far. I am not good with words so I will post enough pics to paint the picture. It is moving along nicely and the little monsters will be swimming by the weekend so all is well with family. Ofcourse the heat is CRAZY so it is coming at a good time.

The theme of the garage will be "GULF racing" so I started to get my fixtures (and other things) painted GULF orange and blue. In the powder coating world, it looks like RAL 2009 is a close match to the orange so I am happy about that. Anyway, a few pics.....

Almost looks like you have your own chapel with the vaulted ceiling, just need some stained glass in that arched window.
Moving along nicely now.
Is the pool fully tiled or painted below water line?

Haha, that is my excuse to my wife for being out in the garage all the time - to confess all my sins in that room :) The last 3/8" of pebble (marcite) goes down in the pool today and them the water goes in tomorrow.

If it's even close to being as warm there as it is here, I'm guessing that water won't go in soon enough.....

I really like what you've done. How deep is the garage? How big is the outdoor poolhouse? Do you have any floorplans that you could share? I'm going to build something similar but it will be smaller to fit my lot.

It has been a while and the family has been enjoying the pool and such. Fall is around the corner so it is time to get going on the garage. Cabinets, neon signs and tools soon to come...

Of course the whole project is a great execution, but the outside is a classic.
