I have an Elora with a push through drive 15" or so long and a Gedore and another cheap one with removable pipe handles 24" or so.
I want one of those Weight 42" monsters.

I have the SK ratchet I bought off Ebay for around $40. Solid, simple, and easy to rebuild. You can buy a brand new Allen USA one for less than $50 I just saw on Ebay.

According to the Truck Tool Equivalent thread, the Matco DR40T 3/4" Drive Extendable Ratchet 24"-40" is the same as - EZ Red MR34, Neiko 03069A (24 Tooth) I don't know how true it is, but I don't think I'd spend my money on a Neiko. Here's the thread below

Really , you guys get some cool stuff too , have you ever tried to buy a matco tryple bank here in the Y-uk just to name one item. Lol, but i spose so. Looking currently for a set of hazet spanners

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=381332763742&alt=web

To replace a set stolen years ago, bet i couldnt get them there. Lol

Oh, I know it's a case of 'the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence (or pond)'. If I lived in Europe I'd have a serious Hazet and Facom problem.

I also have Sk and wright 3/4" drive ratchets too.

Jeez, I wonder how rare a Facom 3/4" rat is in the states...

I keep the KL.161 and K.152 in stock and have the K.154 coming in. Plus a selection of 3/4" drive torque wrenches and impact guns.

I like using a 3/4" drive ratchet and you can slowly and evenly apply torque to fasteners. Great for removing caliper bolts.

This is an SK ratchet, a Williams breaker bar, a Proto impact swivel, an Armstrong extension, a Taiwan extension, and multiple USA made sae sockets Proto, SK, Allen, Mac, Wright, Craftsman, etc. I've built the set over time. All together I'd say the stuff in first pic cost me about $250. The other pic is a complete set of large metric Craftsman USA sockets and even larger set of metric impact sockets from HF. I paid $75 for the Craftsman set and got the HF's on sale for $30 because the box was opened. They work well with the ratchet, but not sure I'd trust with my 3/4" Aircat impact. All I'm saying it take your time and look around. You can find some amazing deals on Ebay and Craigslist.

Hey guys does anyone know if that williams extendable handle 33013 will fit on the usa made williams head H-51AB .... the ratchet head bore is 13/16. I know snappys old l72rl 35 inch handle fits but I live in Australia and I havent seen many older snap on tools around. I've got the H-A1 which is only around 19 inches. My snap on guy isn't much help either as he wants me to trade in my williams head to buy the complete l872 and l872rm which comes to a total of 770 AUD but will only give me 130 off for my willams head due to the fact that the new 36 inch handles are 15/16 which wont fit my ratchet head.

I have a 3/4" drive Westward ratchet head (looks like Williams) from a scrap torque wrench. I had a handle made up by the shop machinist, 30" long I believe. Had it knurled and everything. It's a bit on the heavy side, but works great for getting extra leverage. Not allowed to put cheater pipes on anything here at work so it was the next best option.

I have a 24" Mac Z4R that is a longer version of Tool Scrounges ratchet made by New Britain in 1974. Still as good as when I got it.

I got a mint hazet head in classified here for around $60. The Gray handles fit it, can't remember if my snappy handle fits or not. The seller seems to get then in occasionally so keep an eye out in classified.

It doesn't fit I've tried. The extendable handle is garbage, I used it once and it broke. The handle won't collapse anymore. I have the USA Williams head but the only handle you can get is too short.

The 42" Wright ratchet used in this post held up with a 6' cheater on it, but the 3/4" Snap-On extension didn't:

Broke a snap on yesterday
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=342032

3/4" extension. Had it on my new wright long handled ratchet. And a 6' cheater.

New (to me) lowboy trailer, need the lugs off. Doing wheel bearings and seals and decided one brake drum and shoes need replaced.

3/4" impact didn't touch them. Ratchet. Then Ratchet and Cheater. Then Ratchet and Cheater and torch. Then Ratchet, Cheater, and Torch, and blocks to keep me from spinning the tires (on a 20,000 lb trailer). Then Ratchet, Cheater , and nylon rigging to the trailer bolster to the rim to keep the trailer from riding up on the blocks, spinning the tires.

Finally the extension gave up, after getting one lug to squeek loose, and giving up on another 3.

1" drive socket is arriving tomorrow, to go on the 1" drive gun. Or the torque multiplier. If that doesn't work, the hubs coming back off, and I'm torching off the rear of the studs and driving them through.

The really big gun is 1 1/2" drive, I don't have a socket for it.

That's a Wright Tool 6425, 3/4" Dr. 42" Railroad Track Ratchet. 45 tooth dual pawl, and crane operator has posted more recently that it continues to be "holding up great".

I rarely use a 3/4" drive, when I do, I have a CM sliding "T" bar that accepts a pipe reallty easily. Once the fastener is loose, I have an unbranded import ratchet, that I bought at auctuion more than 30 years ago. When it breaks, I suppose that I'll have to replace it
