Sk8r: i'd actually take them down and paint them outside unless that is a huge PIA. two reasons one is that any fumes are not good for kids or pregnant wife and second one it'll be easier to paint and do a better job.

one warning to note. if you do use stain make sure you don't leave a stained rag on a wood bench or near anything that can burn because some stains can self ignite.

congrats on the baby and have you figured out what causes that?

cheers

Well the wood cabinets are built using the wall, so I have to paint them in place.

I was planning on paint and not stain. My work is too shabby so I need to hide it with paint, LOL.

Sk8r: painting the cabinets looks good. i think your metal cabinets look fine so unless the close up scratches really bother you work on getting you other shelving up and car or bikes in the garage.

nice work and keep it up.

It’s been a while since I posted but I added a mid-rise lift today. I need to build some ramps but so far the lift is sweet and was an easy install.

I installed 2x 54 “craftsman benches today. I need a top for my bench so I’m i investigating options. I won’t do any outrageous hammering on it, I will use it more for automotive and light assembly work.

I also realize the wall bracket needs moor panels on the left side so I’ll address theat as well. Previously I had 2 nice metal cabinets with small drawers in that space. The new “bench” is too tall so the cabinets no longer fit.

Anyway, I have lots of organizing to do but so far I like the improvement. Baby steps.

I need to fix up the upper cabinets but the multipurpose gym, work space is really coming together.

I do mostly car related work in this area so the dual purpose space with my gym equipment is not at conflict.
