OK, I think that I can post pictures now. Here is my build. I was a little lax on the pictures but here we go. We got the one of the largest rainfalls in history as soon as we started!
Looking good so far! Question, Did you draw up your own plans or did you buy/find plans on the net or out of a book? I really like the side access garage door.
I'm in the planning stages myself for a garage build much like yours. I'm planning on a 30'x40' or 30'x50' with room-in-attic trusses.
I'll be following this build for ideas and inspiration!
Nice build. Whats that on the floor?
Wow, great looking progress. How high are your ceilings?
I really like the three door idea. Looks great.
Just curious bt what is the pitch of your roof. I really like the added room upstairs. Looks really good so far.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did all of your brick-work cost? My house is brick as well and I have been going back and forth on wether to brick the front and do siding on the the sides and back or brick the entire thing.
It looks like one of the windows is partially covered by the stairs. Is it or is it just the angle of the photo?
Brassspike, Looking at post #6 there is a picture looking up the stairs at the trusses. I assume you skipped a truss where the stairs are? Did you double truss both sides of that opening? Is that a 2x6 or 2x4 that spans between the trusses? Also what is the size of your overhead doors?
OK...when you said ..."It's been COLD here"...for all of us "CAN'T READ YOUR MIND" people, where is HERE?

brasspike: Just wondering what size blocks are those for your foundation? I am in the process of planning for my garage and will use 2x6 constuction for framing, but 8x16" block would not fit right.
