Ok, here we go. My wife and I moved into our modest home about 8 years ago. It has an attached 2 car garage which has become completely stuffed with toys and junk. I'm tired of having to move large piles of stuff just to get my bicycle out for a ride, and even more tired of having to wheel my motorcycle out into the driveway for an oil change because there's no room in the garage to work on it!
So, that's all soon to change. We took a hard look at our lot, and found that we had room in a previously uncleared corner to put up a shop. I received bids from a couple pole barn builders, then my buddy stepped in and told me he could stick build a better building for me and come in right close to the same price. We talked about it quite a bit, and I made him provide me some hard numbers. In the end, I couldn't argue with him any more, so we had some plans drawn up and submitted a permit package to the county. 6 weeks later, we had permit in hand and it was off to the races.
First step was to clear some space. This sounded like a job for my friend, Pat.
