Price seems very reasonable, considering that has to be about 3000 sq feet of area with the walls and ceilings. Do you know what they said the R value was rated?

I'm not sure on the R value. So far it -seems- to be working well. We have had a few warmer days and it felt like there was A/C inside the shop.

I'm making a little more progress. Ground the perimeter of the floor with a little diamabrush and hand grinder. Also filled the saw cuts with epoxy in preparation for the white Legacy epoxy. (still need to diamabrush the entire floor).

Also painted the trusses and paying a friend to start hanging the interior metal.....

Re: 36x47 workshop

Looking forward to seeing the blinding illumination that some lighting should do with all that nice white ceiling!!

My uncle is in lake villa, the far West edge and man I have seen some great cars out front of the Roadster shop. my commute used to take me by there everyday. Best part of the drive was trying to catch a peek at something new rolling around there.

John, so am I! I think that is the next logical step actually as I'm sure the floor will turn out nicer with a lot of light.

Tim, enough room yes but I would love Socal weather, I could just leave everything outside :)

polexican, Roadster Shop builds some awesome vehicles for sure. Top notch stuff.

The setup looks awesome!

I see you mentioned the total cost of the insulation, but do you have an idea of price per sq-ft?

Whoa

I just found you again and what a transformation.
I just realized that your garage and my work shop are almost the same size but yours looks far bigger and much better

I just stumbled onto this build. Absolutely stunning. I've never seen trusses like that.

I will be stealing your design on beefing up the original trusses in my own shop, as there is a ton of potential storage up there.

Please keep us updated with any future progress!

Thanks :D

My electrician friend came out and put together a material list for everything. Just need to decide on light fixtures.

Today I put together the air lines using 1/2" copper. Starting at tool box, connection in corner for compressor, outlet for fab area, following ceiling and outlet for hose reel near the top of the lift post, continuing to the top of the opposite wall and all the way to the front door for the final outlet.

Also had my old pool table set up :)

I'm surprised you're turning the Eldorado into a Resto-mod. Aren't those worth like $300K to $400K in fully restored condition?

Or is that the value of an Eldorado Bairitz Convertible?

Yes I am long overdue for lights and electrical!

As for the Brougham, the most I've seen one sell for is a little over 250.

Nice shop and nice car.

Looks like you have some 80s Toyota trucks and 4runners lurking about. Details on those?

Thanks! I have just the 88 xtra cab and the 89 4runner. The truck is from Washington and the 4runner from Oregon so no rust. They are stock and unmodified.
