high flow nozzle and high flow setting on PETG really ticks the time down.

.8 HF nozzle is the ticket to reducing time. or .6 HF

at the end of the day you gotta move the material. the faster you move the material the better.

I plan to do an H2 series of plates as well for longer print times.

the p1s doesnt have enough heater to flow .8 HF.

you know whats just a little bit more? a p2s. its girl math im told.

It would help to know print quality on a 0.8

I'm getting another printer, don't worry. But for now, the one I have is a P1S and the $400 price point is quite appealing.

Now, if someone came through with their promised discount, that might speed things up...

Maybe I'll splurge for a microswiss HF hot end.

for my print files with .6 and .8 nozzles right at 100 hours. With the makerworld settings I think its pushing 380 hours?

How in the hell is the tpu down to 10 hours? The make good files have it around 120
Edit... That's 10 hrs for the one plate

The rear footrest section was 9 hrs with 0.4mm nozzle and generic Petg, 7.75 hrs with 0.6 and generic Petg, 7 hrs with 0.6 and generic Petg-HF and 6 hrs with bambu Petg-HF.

That was with grid infill, for some reason. Gyroid dropped another 15 min off the time and going from 15-12% infill (should be comparable strength with the increase in nozzle size AFAIK) cut another 25 min. So all in 9 hrs down to 5:20 (if it works)

I'm going to let it run as if it's Bambu HF tonight and see how it comes out

Quality was good at 0.30 layer height.

I did another part at 0.36 layer and it's not meaningfully different. I have another running right now that has more curves, so we'll see how that goes.

Parts are releasing without any effort, too. It's nice, but hopefully doesn't mean a part will dislodge during printing.

0.30 on the left, 0.36 on the right. Both HF settings

Unfortunately the next part is **** as well.
Not sure if it's the settings, the fact that these are printing on a 45 degree angle or the filament. The filament was dried at ~68 degrees for >12 hrs.

I'm going to switch off the HF settings for an overnight print and see what happens with another very similar part.

Frustrating, but that's part of figuring out how to speed this all up

What happened to your thumb? I pretty much always have a smashed up digit or two. Right now all that I can complain about is that that my hands are all dried out from doing tile work.

I would think more about overhang combined with larger layer height and flow, so less cooling per layer for given speed. Might also check that it didn't get switched to outer walls first.

thanks for the suggestion. On the part in 6048, i definitely messed up and disabled auto support, thinking all the support it needed was painted, so it was set to manual. I'm going to reload all the completely unmodified files and compare them setting by setting. Unfortunately, when changing layer height, i'm finding that some things are changing and i may have missed one

I'm switching to a new roll of red PETG and am running another copy of the wheel quarters now.

I am fully in support of this wheelchair idea (currently talking with someone my my school district)... But...

Do we want to spin it off into its own thread, so people who need support/troubleshooting can find it easier? Rather than interspersed within a 150+ pg thread, along with other comments?

Not trying to be a naysayer, rather the idea was like going from the general CM drill press thread into Frank's How-To-Fix ideas.

I was kind of wondering when/if someone would get sick of this 😂

I do think there is a lot of generally useful stuff in these mods/troubleshooting, but it people feel like it's too much, I'm good with splitting it out

I did start to move the posts , however I goofed ever so slightly ... figured I could move them in groups... not thinking that changed the post #'s of the later posts , so everything got screwed up because I was going by post numbers that Mike931 supplied me...they were no longer accurate ... I moved them all back, Will have to start again fresh tomorrow .
