Good deal, except parting out kits I've been paying about $62 a piece after tax for a M18 9.0 battery + rapid charger :)

Thanks OP!

I have 5 of the 4.0's already and not really sure if I actually need these, but too good of a deal to pass on! Just ordered!

I'm not breaking as many Milwaukee 1/4"-3/8 adapters or Makita gold bits.. or 6mm allen sockets lately.. so could definitely use them but I wish they had a 2 pack for $100.

Anyone know the detioration rate of these batteries? I run mine about half dead 5 days a week. And my 1 5.0ah is not seeming so fresh anymore only a couple months old.

Seems very inexpensive. Each pack is 10 cells, 40 cells for $175 is $4.375 each.

That's like 40% less than quality cells cost, in quantities of 100,000. Either they're taking a loss on these, or they cheap cells. :)

Don't ask why I've shopped in 100k quantities before...

Just ordered a set with the promo code for $174 shipped.

These are selling for $129 on HD site. I figure I'll through 2 of them on the local classifieds for $75 a piece which is a good deal for the person buying and I get 2 batteries for $24!! Can't beat that.

Amazon has them for $64 with free shipping just so you know. Probably worth 50-60 each.

The price is so tempting, but I don't need that many batteries, I don't want to have to go through selling, especially during the holidays.

They're back in stock, intermittently goes out of stock.

$174 is an excellent price

BEWARE! When I did this they were kit take-outs, this makes gifting them (my intent) ghetto and you don't even know for a fact that you're getting a completely new, unused battery.

I'm curious how these will come but I'd be very surprised if Toolup is wrapping take-out batteries in USPS Priority envelopes, throwing it in another Priority envelope (ain't it classy when retailers use shipping materials as packing?????) and shipping them off.

I COULD BE WRONG. WE will SEE!!! !!!!! !!!! !!! !!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, the Slime, er I mean Slick Dealers are gonna flood eBay w 5.0's. After fees and shipping I don't know how anyone is gonna make more than a few bucks per battery on eBay, so I think you'd have to sit on them and let the market saturation drain.....at which point the 6.0's may very well be out and every retailer will be clearancing these at $60 or less

I think you'd have a better shot flipping these on Craigslist; there are a lot of working people out there that don't do the eBay or Amazon thing. My father is a longtime contractor and hasn't a clue how to use eBay but is a huge Craigslist fan.

I did go in on this deal because I have so many M18 bare tools I have amassed from various deals that I am constantly robbing batteries off of other tools to keep them powered. Thanks for posting this.

The ones I ordered from amazon were kit take outs as well. Not sure how these will be packaged but we will see.
Hopefully they will be in the regular individual retail packaging.

Brand new 5.0s are selling for like $50-60 out of Craigslist at best.

Not going to bite, I have 7 5.0s and 5 9.0s now and I'm thinking I already have enough, plus if I buy one more kit tool on a deal I have at least another battery. Might have hit battery sufficiency!

Around here re-selling on CL is hard work. The only way I deal w the mouth breathers is if I'm making GOOD $$. For $10-20 on various items I'd rather donate to Habitat or other non-profits or gift items.

If people are making real $ on CL, good for you. Here, it'd be easier to work McDonalds for $9.50/hr

It's officially sold out. It had occurred a couple of times in the past 24 hours, but did return in stock shortly.

You would be slightly less useless if you shared how...

It's the can of worms. Buy & return the promo kits. Such discussions always just degrade to a separation of those who consider themselves morally superior & everyone else.

This is how. Splitting up a promo discount between 2 items.

How are you guys getting free shipping on Toolup? Got good price on M18 Sawzall, but then adds $10 shipping.
Thanks.
