Concrete will be poured inside for the floor. Eventually I will blacktop the driveway and that would probably go right to the bottom of the wainscoting.

Holy Dooley - that looks great. I want a building like that for my next one (with a separate, but attached room for woodworking etc) off to one side. Onya sport!  More power to you. (But I'm going to borrow some of your ideas....)

Keep up the good work!

Lyndon

I love the way the garage sits, looks like it's tucked away nicely behind your house? Can't wait to see it come together!

Very pretty setup! I like a nice big driveway in front of the building, lots of room to park and move things around. Nice location, should be a real pleasure to go out there and mess around, work or relax:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Garage doors installed, ceiling done, and partition wall done. Insulation is next!

Good looking building. I like the steel paneled ceiling. Should make for good lighting. Surprised you did not include a small rest room. Since you are already planning for your old age you need to know that old farts like me need one more frequently and more urgently than you younger guys.

turned out very nice. What size of screws did you use on your osb? Did you use sheetrock mud to fill in any imperfections before you painted?
Outside colors look rich, very nice.:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you! Used 1 5/8 drywall screws for the OSB. I did not mud the seams.

Very nice looking shop, it looks to be well thought out. What kind of paint did you use on the chippy board (osb)? I'm in the process of putting up the same stuff. I used Kilz oil primer, and rolled it on. A lot of work, I have 30 sheets of 4 X 9. I have to give it 2 or 3 coats just to make it look descent. I think I'm going with a water base for the top coat, probably a semi or high gloss. I like it bright in my work area.
With a nice size storage area, it should be easier to keep the shop area clean.
I used the Sherwin Williams for my floor paint, it was an industrial type that is suppose to be sold to professional use. I have one side of my barn done and it is slicker than goose ****, I think I'm going to throw some silica down on the other side?
Are you putting your air compressor in the storage area?

On your sound system, what is it? I think I would of put the speakers in the corners to get a better stereo separation from it. But either way, it looks like it could get loud.:scared:

Thanks! Not sure on the brand of paint, I hired a painter to do the job for time savings. I know they did primer and 3 coats of white. Air compressor will most definitely be going in the storage area.
