I got a reply, I am going to pick it up.And the race is on!!!
Who will get there first???![]()
Looks like a recent made in China model on my end.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think Wilton ever manufactured the 1760 model anywhere but the USA.
I bought (and sold) a 1760 awhile back that did not have Made in USA cast into it. That doesn't mean that it was made in China. It might simply mean that -- like when Snap-On dropped the Made in USA from some of their tools -- they were opening the door to move production elsewhere.
I've never heard about any Wilton being made in China, except the Sears knock-off.
I think someone is jealous![]()
Hes right. Just because it doesn't say Made in USA in cast lettering doesn't mean otherwise. Ive got a Wilton 1645 in my shop that has nothing cast on the sides except the casting numbers. The only way to tell is the aluminum name plate that shows Wilton and made in USA. If that was gone, you wouldn't be able to tell at all
On San Diego CL now,
"I have a Made In USA Wilton 3 1/2 combination vise. [It is a bullet style.]
Barely used (once or twice). It has been in storage for sometime now.
Make me a reasonable offer. These vises go for more than $1000.00 +."
The pics show a vise that has quite a few hash marks for being used 2wice. What's wrong with people?
