48x48 barn (pic heavy)

I’m building my shop this year after almost 2 decades of sub par working conditions, I’ll have a place to work on the old Broncos and other projects.
The County BS shoved my start date back 2.5 months.
The barn is a 48x48x16 with a corner porch and 2 lean to’s.

I tore down an eyesore of a barn, and prepped the approach and grade for the new barn.

While waiting on the County I built my dog kennel/shed.
14x18 shed w 18x12 lean to for the hounds.
This building will store my mower, Side by Side and some storage.
North blocking for the hounds and stays in the shade all but 2h of the day.

Weather has been a challenge the whole time, I’m 40 (definitely not 25 anymore) and my son is 15.
It has been cool to spend time w him and teach him how to build and work.

Plasti-sleeve cover. Totally incapsulated cover.
I have 52 posts on the main building 28 of those are 6x6, all porch posts are 4x6 and sleeved as well.
Also I have Plasti-skirt wrap (2x8) on all grade boards.
The sleeves are 66” tall. The posts are 36” in the ground.
I am pleased w the product!

That is awesome looking,was this a DIY project? Either way it looks perfect along with your Kennel. Plastic skirt wrap,is that also a plastic sleeve to slide over the PT grade boards? Never seen those before.

Me and my 15y old son framed it all and turned it over to a local guy that came highly recommended to put the metal on. We are now putting water, gas & electric chases in so we can pour the floor.
5” 4K psi on the floor w 3/8” rebar 2’ oc tied 100%.
The Plasti-skirt is a 3 sided membrane that wraps the PT.
It was an extra cost, but I’ve had 20y to think about this barn and what I want.
I didn’t want any wood in the ground exposed.

I’ve been busy w my actual job (64h a week) and trying to do this thing. It’s about to kill me!!!
Been getting the water to run right on the side yards to basin.
Hauling in 150T of millings tomorrow morning on the floor and porches.
Plumbing the floor drains and future bathroom tonight before I go in to work at 11p just got off @ 3p [emoji23]
Pouring the floor on the 29th, then it should slow down.
Deadline is thanksgiving!!
Insul and liner panel done & floor sealed.
That’s the goal!!
