So I recently acquired a 7x rivet gun 'the mean green balljoint machine' Michigan Pneumatic MP-70X because I ran up against a ball joint my Jiffy #600 struggled to get moving. I'm not looking to spend $40-60 for a quick chuck for this gun as it doesn't have a tease trigger so I'll use it less than my 6X. I see that Ajax offers a #899 Beehive spring and washer for .401 but for .498 just a beehive spring. That washer in the 899 spring kit looks like it helps keep the tool from bashing up against the spring and getting wanged up. Is it not that important or not needed for the .498 spring? I can't find a spring and washer kit for .498 anywhere so I'm a little confused by this.

There's the Ajax product page for the .401 kit
I'm not at all interested in the mech aid style springs, they have poor tool retention with even my stronger .401 air hammer. I won't be changing bits a lot so I'm not very bothered by unscrewing the spring each time.
