Military anti theft.

They had 7/8 drive also

Yeah, it's crazy!
I'd think 1/4, 3/8, & 1/2 cover 98% while 3/4 has got the rest...![]()

You know what? I think that 9/32" is what my old military ratchet was, not 5/16"
Military anti theft.
Moral of the story . . . . MUST bring following supplies when hitting up the pawn shops, estate sales, etc.
. . . . 1/4" socket and stub extension
. . . . 3/8" socket and stub extension
. . . . 1/2" socket and stub extension
This will enable "Test" fits to flush out the odd-ball sizes !!![]()
no need to bring a socket... the extension has both male and female drive ends itself![]()
No love for 1/8 drive? http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=hand&Group_ID=682415&store=snapon-store
Crazy, just looked at those. Why not just use nut drivers? They only have the handle and 4 sizes of sockets. And at a CRAZY price too.
But couldn't anyone...buy an adaptor?
Or steal the ratchet/extensions too?

I wonder this about security bits too. You can buy the driver bits at any auto parts store for less than $5 that will remove about any security screw on the market. I guess you have to try.
