Would you mind sharing how you prepped the cart for repainting?
Sure thing...
Red scotchbright to scuff everything down well....I used my da sander on the bigger flats to save time, but you could do it all by hand with a few more scotchbright pads.
Just make sure there are no shiny spots left so there is enough tooth for teh new paint to stick.
Blew it off well with air blower.
Then I used some wax and grease remover and basic blue towels......two towels one in each hand...one wet one dry wipe each part right before painting to get any dust or oil off.
One light coat to tack up a little and help hold teh paint then a heavier wet coat for coverage and shine.
I did manage to screw up and get one nice sag, so I had to re-sand and repaint one rail because of hurrying.
I used engine enamal and a cheap plastic trigger for spraying.
I taped off teh slides and drill the rivets to remove the drawer latches.
The inside of teh top and teh lid I used spray on bedliner.
Here it is scuffed and masked...
And this shows teh hinge detail...
Careful prep and attention to detail should lead to success.
