50s Craftsman toolbox ?

I recently picked this box up and going to restore it and have a few ? for all the pros. First ? how do these drawer slides release so I can take them out this one has got me stumped? second ? has any one tried to take the pin out of the lid hinge (think piano hinge)?

Removing the drawer slides -
I can't speak to how to remove the slides from your Craftsman, but some of the ideas in my thread about removing Huot slides may give you some helpful ideas. Good luck, and post pics of the process for the next guy (please).
