The water heater and a/c's are what matter.The camper has an electric water heater, lights inside, lights on the deck, radio, ceiling fans, air conditioner, bathroom fan, microwave, fridge.
The furnace uses propane along with the stove

Why are you not using the "standard" RV cable which is 6 gauge? 8/4 will "work" but it's not rated for the typical 50A breaker on an RV pedestal. If I was going to do that, I'd de-rate the breaker.Yes it would be plugged into the back of the travel trailer/camper and run under the frame via loop hooks.
Then at the front of the camper it would have to go to the ground and lay on the ground about 7 feet to the outlet pedestal

Got it, I was confused by the post above where you said it was going to go about 7 feet to the pedestal.Again, I'm not sure a standard 50 foot premade cord/cable will work and be long enough . It's a possible option for $200 on Amazon
The 100 foot premade cable will definitely be too long and they are like $400

the NM-b is not kosher and you will have issues eventually. use the right stuff or dont do it at allI'd rather error on the side of caution and use 50amp with 6/3
That's what's currently installed and there's been zero issues
Take a look. Is it a 50A inlet? It’s good to be sure.No idea never unplugged it and never had to look at it
