Does anyone know of any 6 point combo wrenches that fit into the void that Craftsman left behind? I would like some for the shop at work but I know they wouldn't get used as much and Don't want to spend a ton of money on them. And now that SK has reorganized I feel like there are even less options available. Thanks, and have a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.

It appears I unintentionally lied. GW must not make them any longer but there are some on ebay.

Why 6 pt as opposed to 12?
With metric I find I use them less then I do/did with SAE.
Here is the Gearwrench 6pt set on Amazon> https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-Pc-Combination-Wrench-Metric/dp/B004IQSETQ/?tag=atomicindus08-20

How long was shipping from Mister Worker? Im also looking into the 285x but just nervous to buy something that could get hit with fees or stuck in customs.

I never get hit with fees or customs and I order from MW all the time.

Thanks for the reply, about how long does it take to get your orders? On a side note, have you looked into the 285x by any chance? The price is much more attractive than the Mac RBRTs

Honestly I feel like the biggest thing that delays delivery is if it's a special order item.

Otherwise DHL from Italy to Arizona has been crazy fast for me. Usually a week and a half maybe?

I'm tempted to buy a set. I don't deal with rust so I prefer a non toothy profile.

Steelman wrenches in 6-point... decent price and good quality. I have beat on my wrenches and they have held up and the open end has not splayed open. Order from Steelman, Lowes, others, and even Amazon.

I ordered the USAG 285x / U02850951 from mister worker 29 DEC... Was told at time of order they'd ship by 12 JAN. Still hasnt shipped :( especially displeased since they hit my card at time of order...

Thankfully I'm not in a rush, but the disingenuity is enough to make this order my last barring some amazing deal on something i can wait for.

I have a small set of craftsman Sae and i think a metric set . I work or have worked on about everything but I don't think i have ever needed them. If that's all i had to use it would make for a long day. Its a tool that i didn't understand till i got it.

I ordered the USAG 285X as well, ordered on 12/21/2023. It shipped 6 days ago and is still in transit here. FedEx says it'll arrive in the next 2 days.

When the entirety of Youtube is touting them as Mac for cheeeeeep!!!, there are probably gonna be some supply issues for a while. Not entirely the retailer’s fault, but I’m with you on the practice of charging the card well in advance of fulfillment.
I bought a set of the Overdrives, and while they’re not as **** as the other girls in the Proto family, I think they’re gonna do everything I need them to do. My first 6pt combo set ever.

For me the 6pt combo wrench is not really practical for daily use, but that doesn't mean there useless, far from infact. Used as a speciality wrench when needed they'll put down a lot more torque before slipping compared to a 12pt or spline. I think I'll get a set in some form, the RBRT USAG set would be a great asset to the wrench draw. Just wish they had an industrial finish opposed to polished chrome. The factory that makes them does an awesome satin finish on the Toptul 12pt version.

I’ve said this here before, but Snap-on clocks their 6 point combination wrench box end 7.5°. So if room allows you to flip it over, it gets another bite at 15°.
Well engineered and useful design feature.
My favorite 6 point wrenches are the first gen Kobalts (by a division of Snap-on) that also had this feature, although box/open ends are a little thicker.

Gearwrench does have six sided combo wrenches available. I have seen the singles @ my local Carquest. No idea if complete sets are still available.

What's the overall consensus on Steelman branded tools? I see they're Taiwanese, so that's comforting.
