Matches that Werner ladder in the background.

It is quite close, isn’t it.

Funny thing is I have a 5’ Werner that has a military camouflage pattern on it. Lowe’s was clearancing them for like, 20 or 30 bucks. I figured whatever, dumb pattern but a good ladder for cheap. We genuinely have a problem finding the damn thing, it blends in so well.

Probably not. I don’t need the extra storage and with a top I lose my work surface.

I will probably laser cut a stainless top at some point and bolt a bench vise to it though.

Well you know the drill.

Pics pics and pics when you get it done.

I don't rate stainless, for good usable bench surface and vice support hard beat decent ply topped with bonded thick rubber mat .
Stainless looks nice idea until use it .
can't go wrong with used krl's, won't loose much money on it if change in future

Hard to weld on wood...

I’m not going to cut sheet metal, it will be a plate top. I use the toolbox as a welding bench occasionally. 1/4” or 3/8”.

I probably won’t get brushed, just plain mill finish plate. Looks aren’t important to me on the top.

There is a reason yellow is rare. Boxes get a lot of greasy fingerprints. Nothing shows crud like yellow.

Good thing I take care of my stuff.

I don’t work on cars and trucks. Not a lot of grease for me. My boxes get a good wipe down when they need it.

I think u should buy the yellow epiq, you have wanted a yellow box, both have rhino top and black trim, big difference is the width of the 3 top drawers. I think once you move in you will realize how great those are. For 1100 diff thats what i recommend jmo

Glad to see this thread still going.

Curious, did you ever get that box dr clyde? I have to say I agree with lugnut but I already gave my 2 cents earlier. Just being nosey.

I see you were looking at a gray box. I have to agree that it is a sharp box. It's more my style than yellow is. I have a tendency to side with neutral colors, grays/tans/brown etc. I get picked on time to time, for liking things that look like something their grandpa would like lol. My favorite color for a box would be an off-white with a slight mint green base or specks, but I've never seen that option before. That or a coffee color with black trim.

Anyways the gray is sharp, but as lugnut said, you seemed alot more enthusiastic about the yellow and it seems like that was what you've wanted for a while.

Good luck

I bought an orange KRL 1023 to hold me over until I find the right EPIQ. A couple posts back shows it.
