Everything I see says you are doing quite well at $1500. Post pictures when you get it and move your tools out of that C-Man box into 4 of the drawers on the new one! :lol_hitti

Always room for negotiating the price, would have be total cherry pay the 1500.
I'd be aiming knock 1 or 200 off if showing some marks and little more if got any nasty dents, if box and seller both gems then 1500 is fair .
Is impossible close a deal properly on a box without seeing it and being armed with cash .
Some pretty clean looking images and seller opinion can turn into scruffy junk when turn up and see it with your own eyes .
The kra was overpriced, would only buy kra's when bargain price .
You'l find addon for the krl easy enough if give it time and if find another 3 bay krl you can flip your 2 bay krl easy enough.
That the good thing with good model truck boxes, you can shift them on easy and potentially make money or break even .
I'm a big fan of 52-56" boxes and prefer 2 of them over a 70+" box .
Extreme boxes, strictly toolboxes ect are quite nice but best spec ones run closer to 4K and I would spend 4K on 2 used krl's before buying 1 new chinese box .

I think you'll be surprised how much that SO box will hold. The top is also a good size for a nice workbench. If you decide you need a little more room you could always add a smaller cart if you have the space. I like having a smaller cart to move around so I have what I need closer at hand.

930dreamer: I have a 86 930....and a few old Land Rovers. The Land Rovers require all the tools and constant work!!, the 930 is never a problem, only time I put a wrench on it is for normal maint and upgrades (Headers/IC/Intake). You cannot beat an old air cooled 911 for reliability.

So I committed to the KRL for $1500. Super nice guy, and I just can't see making any kind of counter offer for 1-200 less, as the box looks to be in excellent cond. Driving up next week after storm passes to pick it up.

^^ wish I would have bought an air cooled 911 before then went to water cooled, the prices are crazy now.

Yeah, it's really sad, totally takes the fun out of the hobby now. I bought the 930 back in 2006 before the prices went crazy, $31K with 34K miles. Have 140K on it now. Been owning and working on air-cooled 911s for the last 40yrs. They are just amazing cars. What was the old saying, You hire a mechanic to keep a Ferrari running and you drive a 911 to keep it running....

I'll keep you in mind if I'm ever ready to spend the $100K plus for a 930. I like this one;

Ha! You can still find them for $60-70K, but to me that's alot, and out of my budget for a DD. I've been looking at used Cayman's for something I can drive daily and run on the track as well. Been also looking at 2006 E46 M3', as I really like the S54 motor. Both are coming way down in price, and the E46 M3 will turn around at some point. The 986/987 cars will continue to drop to well under 10K, and I'll be dead before they turn around....

KRL sounds good, clean box and reliable seller makes it worth asking price.
I'm sort of guy that never commits to any negotiating without seeing used items first and then knock off points for things owners avoided telling me :)
It pretty good price to start with if clean but I always aim get my used boxes best price possible .
Hope it works out as you really going like the KRL, easy box like and one that keep liking .
Even the old land rovers won't wear out a krl lol , bit of series 2 and 3 fan myself but don't own one just an old 78 range rover .

I still have a 95 RR Classic. Best driving SUV I've ever driven, but sadly it's off the road for the foreseeable future. I just picked up a 97 NAS to drive then flip.

I don't know anything about side cab's, but going to start researching now. Unlikely I'll find a used Snap-On side cab, and can't justify new, so I am looking at alternatives just to begin pulling in all of my options.

Will this work with the KRL761 that I am buying:

I don't think it's all that unlikely to find a side cab. I sure as heck wouldn't want mismatched brands or colors if I were you. It would give me the blues.:puke:

Chances are higher than you think for snapon side cabinet .
Just be patient ...
other options like the spg could work but matching snappy would look best .

Just looking right now, I'll get the box home and loaded then see where I need to go next, maybe just a smaller S-O roll cab next to it. Sure would be nice to match, I just figured a matching side cab would be pretty rare used, as most would go with the box that it was attached to....I'll be patient for a while and keep looking.

Yeah if don't need it quick you will get one.
A 36" snappy roll cab wouldn't be bad option either, see what comes up .
Trick is keep looking and asking, even if see one with a box always worth asking if sell seperate or buying and flipping what you don't want, this scenario how I got into buying and selling quite a lot of used truck boxes ...
you'll be surprised how much you'll get in that krl .

Drove to Charlotte and picked up the 54" KRL box today. Man, this thing is heavy, never experienced anything like it. Incredibly solid. I'll shoot some pic's once I get it placed in the garage. Also talked with the local SO dealer, told me SO would be offering a 25% discount on the Side Cab in the next few months, then he would take off another 10% if I paid cash. So this is a possibility....35% off.

No one pays full price for snapon boxes, 40 to 50% is more like it and they always having deals on boxes, if not in hurry look used first as pretty sure you pick one up in 12 months if keep looking .
Buying krl new is a mugs game ;-) used is a total steal :)
