There's too much demand and not enough supply.
Can a rebuild kit be had at reasonable cost ?
On the face of it, this, looking likely to end up at about $30 all in, could be a bargain.

Yah take it t o a truck and it is free, Or snappy will charge $10.00.![]()
eBay
Lets see . . . that comes out to $83.45 . . . Hmm . . . list price is $96.00 . . . that's a grand total savings of $12.55!!! Wow!!!
My measly little $25.00 max bid didn't even stand a chance.![]()
I wouldn't pay $2 for one like this model anyway, they basically have the same guts as a Craftsman. The pawl doesn't engage the face plate like the F730 or the F830, there's more than 1 reason SO calls these maintenance free, they don't want people taking these apart.
They are not the same guys as a Craftsman by any means. Plus, who cares whats inside as long as its very strong and feels right?
I buy my tools to use them, Merkva has already admitted he just buys snap on tools, and rarely uses them (perhaps he deleted that post!), you guys who are more worried about a tool's internal makeup, and how well they actually work when you use them, really make me wonder!
Could you please explain that a little further? This kind of stuff fascinates me.![]()
)for the ******. This is just my opinion, from my experience.I'm worried about the internal makeup because I DO use them. The new style SO ratchets are for a FACT closer in design to a Craftsman than the older SO ratchets, the only difference being the reverse lever. The face plate support is what set SO apart from other ratchets.
Have you broken a 936? If no, were you using a cheater or using it past the limits of a 3/8 ratchet?
thirty boys!I just bought this set
Thought i did alright. They are the newer style laser etched. The deals are out there, Just gotta search harder now
No, truth be known I just like to argue, and it's easier to do it on here than with the ole lady. It'sthirty boys!

Yah because I have broke a ton of craftmans ratchets and very I mean VERY few snap on ratchets, They might look close in design but remember a terd and a milky way dont look much different either. Would you eat both??? That there lies your anwser.![]()
