Where did you source your cable ends?

I need to upgrade the cables on my Bronco yet this summer.

Interesting story- Walmart.com came up in a search. Actually cheaper that Zoro, and cheaper shipping.

But, the order was filled by Zoro. Who knew Walmart and Zoro had some agreement????

Sweating all afternoon doing yard work.

Start working on the truck, and the rain moves in.

My luck.

Nice score on the grill shell and bumpers!

Kind wish I would have ended up with a ‘77 version, but I like the ‘79 too.

Backstory on the ad.

Working with a guy who keeps telling me he’ll bring his truck to work to show me, as soon as it’s running again.

I’ve been teasing him a bit for months.

I wrote the ad directed mostly at him, then sent it to him.

And yes, he does have a pretty thick drawl.

Haven’t been working on the truck much lately, but I have been putting it to work!

Riv: I think I recall you saying you were planning on moving. did that happen or are you in the process of it right now or going to soon?

best of luck with all that cause it can't be easy with all the stuff you have.

cheers

Drives,

We negotiated a 1 year extension to the sell of our house.

The same developer has demo’d all the houses on the other side of our street.

That means we get to live with construction til we move.

Oh well, they’re making it worthwhile $$

I am dreading the move when it comes time!

RIV: since you are in the biz it might be a little more livable and maybe just maybe you'll get some good material deals to make some cool stuff with.

that said moving is never fun and it took me almost 18 months to move out of my little shop i was leasing cause the landlord was getting a divorce so best of luck with your move and maybe if you can lease a shop or storage to store some of your stuff ahead of the move that might serve you well.

Let me know if you can't find any deals on racking or if you need something cause i'm really getting tired of paying storage fees now.

cheers

The excavators and dump trucks bother some of my neighbors, but it’s water off a ducks back for me.

I’m usually the one making all the noise and commotion.

I’m taking the slash-n-burn approach to getting ready to move,

Only the best of junk goes to the new place.

Riv: well I still think you are going to buy a BIGGER TRUCK.

kidding aside that sounds like a good plan and even drawing the shop and it's new contents and whereabouts on paper sort of like you are building it from scratch might be a good thing too.

good luck!!

Finally made the trip North to the new house with the old truck.

60 miles on the freeway. Easy Saturday morning traffic on a beautiful day.

Riv, nice progress on the truck. I guess Ranger is no longer a puppy! :shocking:
Wow he's huge. :lol_hitti

Jay

He’s just a big fluff ball. He seems to have reached his max size, at least until he starts getting a fat ***.

He’s just under 140lbs. Actually on the small side for the breed.
We run into another newfie that is 220lbs.

The really big ones have a lot of health issues.

And, Ranger is a lot more athletic than the big boys.

He’s the perfect size, as he still fits in my lap!
