I get your point, but the "get to know you" doesn't have to be asking for a specific item. Hell, if I knew my recipient was into something I could put my own spin on it. But, not knowing makes it hard to be creative on a personal level.

Most of us are MEN... we need some direction when it comes to gift giving. :D
I agree. Well reviewing posts of my SS didn't turn up much but his post on here gave me a better idea in what direction to go in.

I received mine a little while ago. Looking forward to opening it. I may have met someone with worse handwriting than me. I am pretty sure it's from Washington state. I have given the packet a few light shakes. No clues yet on it.

I received mine today from The Great White North. Looking forward to opening it on Christmas! The only tree here is a cat tree, so I'm going to skip the pic for now.

My recipient received his parcel and posted a picture here. I goofed & forgot to pack 1 part of the gift. I will get it to you after Christmas. I know, I know the suspense is even worse now, isn't it?

The package I sent out cleared customs on Tuesday But my guy has not posted that he has received it yet. I have not received mine yet either. I go out and look out side both doors and the garage door each night when I get home from work... Rich

Received mine on Thursday. The senders forum name was not on the outside of the box, so until I open it on Christmas I'll just say Thanks Secret Santa.

Our computer is down until my wife opens the new one on Christmas , and I can't figure out how to post a picture from my phone, but I'll keep trying.

I was told 3-4 days for shipping, looks like the estimates were off but my package is in Chicago at a sort facility. Hopefully it gets redirected back east for delivery by Monday or Tuesday.

Mine arrived late yesterday from "PW NY" (going to have to Google that!) No tree this year (2 cats and a very exuberant puppy combined with antique glass ornaments.......nope)

Thanks Santa.

Just a reminder to everyone. If you receive your gift, please acknowledge it with a quick post. Some of us see that are gifts some received but we would feel better if we know for sure. Thanks

I've been in and out of town. Got a chance to dig through a pile of mail today. SS gift was there. All the way from Australia!!! Ironic, my SS giver was out of the US and my recipient is out of the US.

Received my gift.

I'm pretty sure it is a USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate box, which is awesome cause I've always wanted one! Won't know for sure until I peel off all that clear tape on Xmas day.

My SS package arrived here and is waiting for Christmas morning. For a small flat-rate box, it's heavy. Heavy is good.

mine was on the front porch tonight, must have been there since yesterday cause we don't have mail service on Saturday here.
I'm anxiously awaiting for Christmas morning.

I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow

You have to wonder how many postal workers have done a google search for "The garage Journal", seeing it plastered on these boxes. Maybe Ryan has some stats on site traffic this month.

Thanks for the heads up Jerry. Of course now you have raised my anxiety level as I wait for the postman! :)

Edit: just showed up on the porch!!! I feel like I am 8 years old again having to wait to open this up!
