If you want to make it really cool, get some of the super rare australian headlight housings so you can use decent bulbs!
I'll have to do a search on that; not familiar with the Aussie headlights.

It's a housing that bolts in place of the current ones you have and lets you install a square sealed beam headlight like the 80-86. I say this because of how bad the bricknose headlights are. You know what i'm talking about.I'll have to do a search on that; not familiar with the Aussie headlights.
Hey one of us has to come out on top eventually right??? Right????I never said you could join my world!
I hope you have as much luck as I hope I have...
Instead of shots fired, a mortar shell fired! Can I suggest that it's a good time to install the supercharger you have laying around (and the related items)?
ZeroThat seems like a good choice to take a day off to drive it there yourself. How much road testing have you done with the car to ensure you can make it there?
About 25 miles. And I hope so. If not tonight, certainly tomorrow. How far away is the alignment shop?
Are you getting in a test drive tonight??? ideally with your son (or someone) available to pick you up if things don't go well?
remember..... prior planning prevents piss poor results....... "P5R" as my brother and I joke back and forth......
You should try forklifts, it is very liberating.I rreallly don't want to buy a car right now.
Just got out of the shop, started and ran the car, topped fluids, warmed it up, checked general operation. Sprayed headlight retaining bolts down, they don't move. I gassed myself out of the shop. The PCV has a horrendous vacuum leak. I am done for the night while i try to find a pcv locally *yeah right* and it will probably go to the shop leaking tomorrow.
I got the hood cable installed. that was fun.
Clutch and trans shifts fine. I think we're ok there.
Tomorrow bumper and lights install, final wiring connections, wheels and tires, drop it and get it out of the shop.
