Back off man, those should come down here to AZ.My Fairlane???
Been cleaning the shop lately. Dragged the tig off the wall. Cleaned all the connections and magically it's working again. That should speed up the boiler build. And the lift is free again.
I need a lot more of those days. I took a week off a couple weeks ago. The plan was 100pct shop time. I got sick the afternoon of my last work day. thanks Mrs. 86. I felt like **** until about wed-thurs of my vacation. As you might expect, not much of anything got done but binging some tv shows. Reference my avatar. <---A good shop cleanup does wonders for my morale. Lots of substantive work for me to do this weekend on the 977 and F350, but I think it's just going to be a cleanup and organization day.

I have a couple of ideas for engine parts I want to play around with. But probably primary goal for now is learn the CNC side of controls. I just don't have any opportunities to do it at work. So I will do it on my own time.

I have decided to sell the old rockwell drill press. The bridgeport makes a much better drill press anyway and i don't need 3 tools that will drill big holes, not counting the portable drills like the mag drill and the handheld stuff and it just takes up room i don't have.
Are mills very available down there? Around here, they're outside every corner garage and you trip over them at the dump. I gave $400 for mine. Granted, i had to move fast to do that.
I asked my buddy about swapping the bridgeport spindle to QC30 so i can commonize tooling, he can't understand why i would even use the bridgeport with the cnc sitting there. He's lazier? Dunno. Sometimes throwing something in the vice and pulling the lever is just a lot easier than firing up a computer and programming to drill a hole.

You oughta caution whoever is flashing you that those UV rays on bare skin can cause a painful burn !Just got back from town. I kept getting flashed welding, realized the battery on the helmet was toast. Hard battery to find. My mesa cards showed up too, so once we get the mill powered, we can start playing with motion controls.
Very true. It didn't last long before it just didn't work anymore. Classic lithium ion power curveYou oughta caution whoever is flashing you that those UV rays on bare skin can cause a painful burn !
