Great, at least someone is making progress.

The original parts diagram actually STATES a split spring washer. Those things are GARBAGE. Fastener class guy years ago said throw em all away.
With all that open space I would start feeling dizzy. I'm used to fainting on waist high piles of stuff -- that's a long way down with a very hard place to land.
Great work, that must feel awesome!
Thanks guys!
The yellow coupe is my first car, since 16yr old. Even got married in it. It had a 289 C4, pretty much a gramma car, over the years its changed into a 351W / toploader. About 400hp. It needs a restoration at this point, although the engine has only a couple thousand miles on it.
The convertible is a Texas field car, strangely optioned with a manual top and air conditioning. No drivetrain. After i got it up on the lift, i can see for the first time that it's fairly solid, except for the holes in the floor because of rain sitting. The interior is totally gone. Plan is a restomod, daily type car, i may take the 351 from the coupe and use it, and have been thinking of building a firebreather cleveland for the coupe. I have a 400M a buddy gave me, been thinking of building a 427 stroker with that, just to be different. I know the windsor would be easier, but it's been done to death. Who builds clevelands anymore? nobody.
