OP
What for?You are good to go!!!! You just need a motion sensor so you know when someone is getting close to the door.

. Because no one cares about me anymore. I'm irrelevant.
I have found the auto business is one of the worst environments that i have worked in.
My last 5 years were the best. I worked for my immediate boss' boss doing special assignments. That insulated me from a lot of people I didn't care for. He wrote my yearly evaluations. I never saw my immediate boss until my last day when I turned in my badge and got my company credit cards closed down. 10 minutes later I was on my way home.
Sorry to hear that. Sounds like it’s time to jump ship. I left Daimler Chrysler in 2000, never looked back. In regards to 100% EV. Does everyone remember the government “ rescue” in 2008? Looks Like it’s time to pay the piper. Sad really, and I own 4 classic GM’s and 1 new one. Been around them my entire 50 years. Now I know how the aussies feel after they killed Holden
Tiny victories.
It's rare that I feel good about turning 76 but knowing I won't live to see EVs take over the roads is comforting. I have four vehicles and three are registered: 1987 Corvette, 2004 PT Cruiser Turbo and 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. None of them get better than 20mpg but we drive less than 2,000 miles a year these days (even less in 2020). The fourth car is a 1972 Corvette Big Block and I recall having to shut it off when filling it up with gas, not for safety but because it used gas faster than it could be pumped. I was happy to get double-digit mileage.
I have this image of an EV sitting at the side of the desert road with vultures circling overhead and off in the distance a person walking with a dead battery toward the horizon to get a couple of miles of electricity. I imagine the person staring down at the low battery/no signal icon on their phone as well.
I'm of a similar age, and I agree. The sticking point is that there's no support infrastructure for EV's yet. There are going to be more vehicles around than charging facilities. It'll be worse in big urban areas like NYC and LA. Electrical demand will be more than the current supply can deliver. People act as if they don't understand the Law of Conservation of Energy. There's no free lunch.

I really could use the lathe right now.

Ugh. <Headslap>
