Absolutely but as 5/16" and 8mm are within the thickness of a human hair I doubt the castings are any different.

Yep, you can usually just substitute a 5/16" wrench. I have to use one to remove the bolt holding the carrier pin in place in a Ford 8.8 rearend, usually use the box end on a Kobalt wrench.

PROTO J3707M gets you a 7 X 8 mm flare wrench.

MAC, Snap on, and Matco have 8mm combination flare wrenches.

Probably the most useful Flare wrench I own is MAC's 8 X 10 mm Flare wrench FB6810MMR.

Never seen a 6mm flare wrench. That small a 6 mm socket and get messy would work best I guess. :beer:
